Which foundation is better mac or clinique ?

I want to buy a foundation but i don't know what suits my skin and what brand to get?

Im thinking of getting mac or clinique ?

which is better ?Which foundation is better mac or clinique ?
Hi,

I've never tried Mac but I use Clinique at the moment, and it's fantastic so I'd definitely recommend it. Use this to help you find which one is best:

http://www.clinique.co.uk/templates/user鈥?/a>

~Mystic.Which foundation is better mac or clinique ?
clinique they have very good formulas and a wide range of foundations also they have lots of colours

i use them

im not saying mac isn't good but i have only tried clinique

i do believe it takes a few foundations before you find the right one

its taken me 4
I was JUST at the store the other day and I found out.

Mac = better for dry skin

Clinique = better for oily skin.

And there ya go! Oh and if you have acne, go with Clinique. If you have combo skin, go with either one. :)
I've tried them both and they're both good. If i had to pick, i would say i prefer mac a bit more. This is because i can get a closer match to the colour on my face and it seems to stay on a bit longer.
both are good, but you will find more colors with mac, try mineral foundation from mac or superfit makeup foundation from clinique.

Clinique and Peeling skin that feels like a sunburn?

my friend bought the clinique acne solution and started using it recently, everyday twice a day. Just today, i saw her face and it looks horrible! Some spots on her skin are dark, and it looks like she got a really bad sunburn. She says it hurts touch her face. Should she stop using the product completely?Clinique and Peeling skin that feels like a sunburn?
yes, i tried it last year, around march and the same exact thing happened to me, i had long red marks on my cheeks %26amp; dry skin.

it's a strong product, her skin is too sensitive to use it, so she definitely should stop using it.

i use the 3 step system of clinique now, %26amp; it works really good.Clinique and Peeling skin that feels like a sunburn?
Im going to agree with Arden... Sounds like its too strong for her skin...

And IVE also tried the Clinque 3-Step system - very good!
Yes....she is severely allergic. Have her take some Benadryl pills right now.

A day or two

Clinique is irritating my Skin. What can I do to help it?

It's tingly, bumpy, and stinging. My face has extra wrinkles and it's red. It is very itchy and I have ezema. (Sorry don't know spelling.) It is very irritating.Clinique is irritating my Skin. What can I do to help it?
Stop using it and let the allergic reaction run its course.Clinique is irritating my Skin. What can I do to help it?
If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

stop using clinique...that should do the trick
Hi there,

First of all please stop using Clinique .

It is obvious you have an allergy to it.

If i were you I'd go to my doctor and explain what has happened and I am sure he will prescribe something to stop the irritation.

With excema you have to be careful what you use.

Maybe try Neutri-medics.

I know it is expensive but it is all natural.

Hope this has helped.

cheers

Which one works better clinique or mary kay?

So I am going threw make up issues. I am wanting to switch but don't know which one to use mary kay or clinique. I was wondering which would work the strongest but also look natural for someone with blotchy skin aka someone needing full coverage.Which one works better clinique or mary kay?
Everyone skin is different so you really need t try to see what is best for you. What skin care line do you use maybe you should start there to address the blotching then you don't have ot try to cover it up. Both companies will let you try the products Clinique will do a make over for you. Mary Kay you can sit down with a consultant and talk about you needs and concerns you can try as many products as you like as many times as you like not sure about Clinique you can call and ask themWhich one works better clinique or mary kay?
it depends on your skin type if you have sensitive skin I suggest to stick to clinique skin line .

if you have dry skin stick to mary kay skin line.

but both have great products.
i have always liked mary kay never really tried clinique

  • Free make up from clinique and other high brands?

I was talking to my mom earlier and she was talking to my aunt earlier and she told me that Clinique filed a lawsuit against some company and they won so starting January 20th (tomorrow) they're giving away free things and so is Shisheido and other high brands for a week or until supplies last. Anyone know anything about this?Free make up from clinique and other high brands?
from what i got from it... you had to have purchased a cosmetic from one of the companies and placed in the time frame (1994-2003) designated on the website in order to qualify to get the free cosmeticFree make up from clinique and other high brands?
So, I work at Macy's. It started yesterday and it was because a woman sued the cosmetic company for price fixing. Anyway, you just need to be over 18 and sign your name to the lawsuit which states you purchased one of those items. It is while supplies last; I know our Macy's is going to be out of product by noon today.
you go into macy's, Dillard's and certain other stores and you get to pick a free gift from a list of products they have.... u don't have to purchase anything to receive
It's saying that if you purchased one of the products that they list (it's easy to find in there, but too much products to type ^^) anytime between May 29, 1994 through July 16, 2003 at one of the stores listed (once again- too much to type), you can receive one free item starting tomorrow. Pretty cool... too bad I didn't get anything during those times.... lol

Where can i buy Clinique concealer stick?

will that be all i need to cover up acne mark and small acne?

or do i need to apply something else after putting it on?Where can i buy Clinique concealer stick?
You can get it here at the websites listed below, or go into your local Macy's store, Marshall Fields store,Bloomingdales, etc.

If you are just looking to cover a blemish, then just the concealer stick on those spots should work if you've bought it in the correct shade for your skin. I might try blotting the spots where you put concealer on with a dab of powder to hold it in place for the day, but thats it.Where can i buy Clinique concealer stick?
Just go to your mall where they have the clinique section and ask a staff member to help you. and yes, that should be enough to cover it up :)

What works better clinique or Murad?

Would you recommend clinique 3 step skin care?

I love clinique makeup. I have heard that their cleansers and lotions are great for your skin. I am on some prescription acne medications that i apply twice a day. I am wondering if you think this would be good for me to add to these as well? If you've used it and it's helped or not please tell me your experiences! Thanks a lotWould you recommend clinique 3 step skin care?
I have used alot of clinique products and they are awesome! Moreover, I love their moisturizers and cleansers I would definetly suggest using them. Clinique definetly makes your skin radiant. Im not sure how much it might help you acne, but I wouldn't hesistate getting their products. Hope this helps =)Would you recommend clinique 3 step skin care?
i used to use it, i worked okay not great, their are others that are more worth your money
ive been using it for a while now and its alright i guesss.. i still sometimes get breakouts but my skin feels realy clean

How do I prevent my eyeshadow from creasing? Ive used a base product from Clinique, but still creases.?

I'm pretty sure most people will tell you Urban Decay's Primer Potion. They're 100% right. There is no way to over-hype or exaggerate how great Primer Potion is. When using, I've never had any eyeshadow creasing whatsoever. My eyeshadow stayed in place all day without losing intensity. It didn't budge. I knew that Primer Potion was a godsend when I fell asleep with my makeup on and woke up the next day with no smearing, no smudging, and my eyeshadow STILL completely intact. I'd have to say that's pretty darn amazing. Urban Decay's Primer Potion is THE way to go if you can afford it.How do I prevent my eyeshadow from creasing? Ive used a base product from Clinique, but still creases.?
I always, after applying foundation and concealer - whatever's necessary - apply pressed powder to my face and on my eyelids. I think that helps prevent eyeshadow from creasing.

Try it with your base product and see if it works, I personally find it works for me! :)How do I prevent my eyeshadow from creasing? Ive used a base product from Clinique, but still creases.?
urban decay primer potion, definitely. it's expensive and the wand applicator doesn't get every last bit that's in the container, but it works wonders.

    [:
As a professional makeup artist, I reccomend Alexis Vogel eye primer. This product is simply amazing.
    Urban Decay Primer Potion
udpp(urban decay primer ppotion) or two faced shadow insurance is good too

Is Clinique makeup good or overpriced?

I want to go to a makeup counter and get a makeover or at least have them tell me what would look good for my particular complexion.

I know that Clinique does this, and since I have incredibly sensitive skin, it sounds interesting.

But, is there makeup good or overpriced? Where else could I go for makeup help?Is Clinique makeup good or overpriced?
NO its not over priced you pay for qualityIs Clinique makeup good or overpriced?
It's way overpriced. Some of their stuff is good. The advanced concealer, and their loose powders. Other than that, it's just overpriced. If you have sensitive skin, go to Sephora or another place that carries Bare Eccentuals make up. It's all natural mineral make up. You can sleep in it, and it won't irritate your skin or make you break out. Most of Clinique's stuff is full of mineral oil and other junk, and the colours are limited and they don't wear very well. If you're willing to fork the money out for Clinique, I highly recommend checking out Bare Eccentuals first. They actually have great starter kits that include everything you need for either face, eyes or highlighting. And they're really reasonably priced considering how much product you get. They also supply 4 (I think) full size makeup brushes in the kit. Also, for eyeshadow, MAC is far superior to clinique in both selection and quality. That's about all MAC carries that's decent.
I use Clinique skincare, and I believe it is not overpriced. Check out prices now in drugstores or places like Wal-Mart.. Clinique is not much higher.

I also use the touch base for eyes in canvas which is awesome!

I agree with what someone else answered about Bare Escentuals for makeup. I use everything Bare Escentuals. You can go on their website or even QVC or Sephora and get basic starter kits, as well as an instructional DVD. It is very good for sensitive skin. I know someone who has extremely sensitive skin, plus rosacea, and she only uses Bare Escentuals (as well as Clinique skincare). There is nothing harmful in BE cosmetics, that is why it is used by people with sensitive and problem skin, and I can tell you, though I do not have either, my skin has improved just from the make-up. Plus, the foundation comes with an SPF.

In my opinion, there is nothing special about Clinique make-up, nothing much more than what you can buy in a drugstore. You can still go to their counter and ask what colors are good for you, and get a makeover. If they do it for brides without expecting them to buy, they can do it for anyone.

I would also suggest going to Sephora. They can help you there, while not being commited to a specific brand. If you happen to like Clinique, they have it there to buy.

Please try Bare Escentuals. It may seem pricey, but it lasts, and it is so good for your skin.
i've used thier mascara, and it was AHH-MAZING.

but im not gunna lie, its expensive but good quality.

What is a good foundation/powder for Asian skin besides Shiseido, Mac, or Clinique?

I'm looking for an oil-free foundation/powder for quick and easy application that comes in asian skin shades. (I am on the paler sallow colored side- with no tan at all.)

MAC has compatible colors and is easy to use, but it's getting to be too greasy for me. I have the same problem with Shiseido.

And while Clinique's quality is good, they have pink tones in all their foundations and make me look like I'm wearing a bad calamine lotion mask. Argh!

Thanx for your help! What is a good foundation/powder for Asian skin besides Shiseido, Mac, or Clinique?
Those are the three best, but you probably like me with yellow undertones, i use LOREAL HIP. all their foundations come in red and yellow undertone formulas. Josie Maran (the supermodel) has a cosmetics line that is ';green.'; I don't know if that also means vegan. Here's a link to the ingredients page. It gives the ingredients for each product.

I don't know all the info, but I always heard that Lancome tested out of this country in France (where animal rights laws are considered lax by our standards) I would do some research on them, I always heard very negative things about their animal testing.

I think its been discontinued. It used to come in the classic silver tube like a lipstick and the stick itself was white and shimmery. Is itworth the money to spend on mall makeup such as clinique?

I have passed it and just wished but never did get the oportunity to, afraid to spend the money but I just might if it gets rave reviews! Is itworth the money to spend on mall makeup such as clinique?
YES! I had always used cheap makeup ie: cover girl and about 5 years ago I got a makeover at the mall just for fun and I was amazed at how much better the makeup looked and I was hooked! I don't like Clinique as much but Lancome and Clarins are awesome!!!! Ask to get a full makeover. Most counters will do that free of charge or for a $25 purchase and see for yourself! Is itworth the money to spend on mall makeup such as clinique?
yes, especially Clinique! I love Clinique , it is a light weigt makeup in very beautiful colors!!!!*
Yes, it makes your skin look glowing. Other products seem to have uneven coverage for me and doesn't work well with my skin. Clinique has special products for your skin type. Not too expensive. It lasts a few months for a bottle of foundation and a powder compact.
I've mainly just noticed a difference in the quality of eye shadows. I can never get that smooth ultra blendability of mall brand eyeshadow (mac, clinique) in the regular cheap drugstore makeup like covergirl or maybelline. I splurge for the eyeshadow!
I like department store mascara better than drug store mascara because it clumps less. I use Nars which you can get @ Sephora.

    See for yourself:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
If you have more money to spend , then go for it. Spend first for the more basic needs that you have, (for school , etc). You will just have to prioritize which ones are your first and last ones.
Definitely! I have been using clinique for about 4 years now! I just like how mild it is for my skin. I don't even want to try any other skin care program because there's no need to! If anything, go test try different mall brands and see which one you like. In the end, its worth paying a couple of more dollars to keep your skin looking young and nice!! : )
nothing is worth buying at the mall cuz mall stores are always way over priced with the exception of discount stores that sell used items
I used Clinique for a year, and I personally was not impressed. The foundation wore off within 4 hours, it was absolutely ridiculous. Not only that, it made my face so incredibly oily. I have gone back to covergirl and like it much more.
make an appointment for a consultation and they will put it on and let you look at it, and you can decide for yourself. personally, i think it's better.
I think it is. The products are definitely of higher quality. I personally use MAC. I'm not a Clinique fan. If not MAC I also like Chanel and Bobbi Brown.
I think that one of the best things that you can do is log onto Marykay.com and find a personal consultant in your area. The makeup is up to date, the consultants are trained, AND they will come to YOU and let you sample EVERYTHING! You can buy what you like, pass on what you don't. I have been able to wear everything from Chanel to Lacome and La Prairie and I really stand by Mary Kay!
I like Clinique..have used for years. I watch when they have give aways...I but their basics...soap and stuff and then try the samples that come with purchase before Iinvest that kind of money.

The soap and astringent really are good...most people guess me to be at least 10 years younger then I am.
no unless theres a great sale!
for 35 dollars you can have amazing coverage and GREAT make-up cause i use Joey New York from ulta and it is affordable. i have the most acne filled face in the world and it helps me SO much. it doesnt clog pores either. Hope this helps!
If it's the makeup line, I think there are far better brands out there. Personally I like using Lorac, Bare Minerals and Bobbi Brown since they have better textures, color and overall quality. I've heard that the skincare line works for some but it's something you have to stick with. I've used the eye cream and was not impressed at all. I've also used their mascara and eyeshadow and found it no better than the brand I can buy at my local drugstore. If you would like to read real reviews on specific products from Clinique, please go to www.makeupalley.com and click on product reviews then select find a product. Best of luck!
yes, big time. altho some drug store things are comparable, mainly department stores are the best. in my opinion it doesnt matter with mascara, but with shadows, liners, gloss...it def does matter.

MAC makes a good gloss, very sticky, but stays on for hours, nothing from a drugstore can compare to that

is the liquid facial soap and bar facial soap the same? How long does the Clinique kits last for?
i don't have the acne kit, i have the three step

two of my friend have the acne one and it was too harsh for their skin and they got dry skin on their upper lip and it was gross.

i love the three step system though! I'm a 2 (1 is for dry skin, 2 is for combination, 3 is combination-oily, 4 is very oily).

the 3 step lasts for a long time! I got mine in the summer and I'm still using that bar soap and the moisturizure.

The toner/clairifying lotion needs to be replenished the most often (about once every two? three? months. depends on how much you use-you shouldn't use very much at one time though)

the moistuizing gel is oil free, the lotion is not. I use the gel and I like it.

The liquid facial soap and bar facial soap are exactly the same thing. only the bar is cheaper and lasts longer! get the bar.

this is all for the 3 step system. idk about the acne one because my friends threw it away after a week and they had the dryness for like a month after using it. ew!

Mac is very good. I prefer MAC.

Apply your concealer using a brush. You might want to ask for a brush to apply it with aswelll if you dont have one.

Also Mac have soooo many shades they are more likely to get a close match.

I use their little pots of concealer in NC20 and NC30. You can get the concealer in a pot or in a stick. They also have SPF in too.

Happy shopping xMac or clinique foundation for oily acne prone skin? Want flawless non cakey coverage?
I use MAC's ';Studio Fix'; in N5(That's right in between fair an neutral). I have SUPER oily skin, and this does the trick. It uses the oils in your skin to make your skin dewy, not oily. It doesn't go on cakey, unless you plaster yourself with it. It also doesn't clog up pores. pair it with a good concealer, and your set!
I work at mac, we have a product for people of your skin type.

The product is called ';studio fix'; it's a foundation that comes in a compact.Like other foundation you have to get your color macthed then you good to go.It will decrease the oil and not clog pores, what's better!?

    hope this helps.
I have oily, acne prone skin and I use Clinique. It's great and it feels really light. I'm not a huge fan of MAC but it's not bad. Clinique is the best I've found. I also use Neutrogena cleanser with a night and a day moisturizer... it's really helped my skin be way less oily.
try this...http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a> its ment for oily skin.

Are you talking about a cleanser or the clarifying lotion? If its the clarifying lotion its great to help exfoliate the dead skin cells. I like to use the milder version better because it doesn't have alcohol and wont dry out the skin as much.

I used to work for one of the major cosmetic companies and when a customer had an adverse reaction to one of our products, we were told to contact our account executive who in turn had the customer's medical bills taken care of. I would ask your dermatologist what product to use, but you will need to moisturize a lot. Most dermatologists recommend Cetaphil, which you can get at any drug store. You should also contact the department store, and the department manager who in turn should contact the account executive. The beauty adviser should have done the skin questionnaire with you before she sold you that product and it is partially her fault you had a problem.Clinique Acne Solution 3 step gave me a very bad chemical burn, roughed up my skin. how to correct damage?
I used this acne cream alst night

when I woke up my skin looked and felt like after severe sunburn

    it hurts even to smile

the surface of the skin is all rough and feels sore and red and like after sunburn

i try to heal itt with clinique moisture surge.. still hurts Report Abuse

Are you sure it's a chemical burn and not just a bad reaction/sensitive skin ??

I used acne creams before and they all made my skin go bad (dry and peel and stuff) for about 2 weeks until my skin supposedly 'got used to it'. That's what they say anyway, if it includes benzoyl peroxide (dont know the correct spelling)

I had a bad reaction to 1 cream and it cleared up after a while. Probably about a month.

If it genuinely burned your skin you should have kept the product, got it tested to see the strength of the chemicals and ought to be suing them right now.

Just get a good moisturizer , ask your doctor actually, they can give you good /correct stuff. It's worth paying as you want to give it the best shot at healing

Is clinique's ';happy'; bodywash good? What should I order?

I have to shop at a certain store because I have a card I need to use. I only have 20 bucks so I'm trying to decide between clinique's ';happy'; bodywash or one of their moisturizer or a facewash.

My cosmetics collection at the moment is completely EMPTY and I don't own any bodywash. I have ivory soap which keeps my skin completely clear but they say you should use moisturizer even if your skin isn't oily. What should I get?Is clinique's ';happy'; bodywash good? What should I order?
can you only buy something from clinique?

if can buy another brand, I would suggest ';happy time'; body wash from nivea!

Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

    * Mineral Oil, Paraffin %26amp; Petrolatum – Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer %26amp; Disruptive of hormonal activity.

    * Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

    * Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

    * Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, may inhibit skin cell growth, and is a skin irritant and sensitizer.

    * Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

    * Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived'; - and is found in many popular body washes and toothpastes!

    * Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

    * Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and Tell ALL your friends and family!!!

Any skincare routine should start showing results in about four weeks. From a personal experience, the Clinique acne products didn't work for me. However, I LOVE their foundations, which really help to not give me breakouts.
I believe for about 2 weeks.

Can a 12 years older use Clinique Moisture surge?

Is it true that kids/pre teens cant use them? People is afraid that it might ruined kids/pre teens skin because their skins are still young and it might ruin it...Can a 12 years older use Clinique Moisture surge?
Go to any Clinique counter. You can get a FREE consultation. They will make personal suggestions for you. I started using the soap, moisturizer, and toner at about your age.

When my neice moved from her mother's house to my brother's, her skin was a mess. I took her to Clinque. Her skin was beautiful within a month. It is hands down the best product for teen skin. It is expensive but worth it. Using moisturizer will not make you breakout.

And as a woman in her 40's, I can tell you that moisturizer is your friend. Can a 12 years older use Clinique Moisture surge?
if you make a habit of using it early on, it'll disrupt your skin's natural oils and etc, especially if you haven't gone through the greasy puberty skin phases yet... you shouldn't use it if it's not absolutely necessary, and if it is you're probably doing something wrong
it wouldnt ruin it but it might give you a break out. your skin at that age is very oily so the extra moisture would be a great playground for the bacteria that cause a break out. I would just use it in my dry areas, mine is right around my nose. Yours might be different.
for a 12yr old u only need a 3step and an eyecream. there's no point wasting money.
Uhmm no Clinique is very high quality makeup.

Its good for your skin, trust me.

Also like someone else mentioned the Strawberry Fudge eyeshadow is really cute, my friend has it. I like their perfume too, I have Happy and Happy Heart. Clinique Acne Solution 3 step gave me a very bad chemical burn, roughed up my skin. how to correct damage?

The bad chemical burn, took me 2 weeks to recover with prescripted medicine from the doctor and lots of aloe vera. My skin is never the same afterwards because it go so disrupted. It now looks rougher and more wrinkly. I took it bad to the clinique counter and the girls there made it sound like it's my fault. Did anyone else experience this and know a solution to correcting what has been damaged?Clinique Acne Solution 3 step gave me a very bad chemical burn, roughed up my skin. how to correct damage?
I love that product ..my acne is gone ...u might wanna go back and speak to the person again...coz its not u r fault...be tough ....Buy an aloe vera plant ..and apply it once daily..before going to sleep..and in the morning ...apply a honey mask....mixed with suger..for 10 to 15 mins...keep this up for few days....Clinique Acne Solution 3 step gave me a very bad chemical burn, roughed up my skin. how to correct damage?
I actually love the solution 3 on my skin, however if the Clinique girls sold it to you, it is definitely their fault, because they should know how to test your skin first. You need more than aloe vera on your skin. You need a deep moisture cream on your face at night and a lightweight moisturizer during the day. This happened to my skin when I used Clinique's Facial Scrub, after awhile it does go away, just hang in there!

something new. I have acne and oily skin. Also I'm 25 and starting to get wrinkles around my eyes and my skin is loose. Any suggestions on whats best? What is a really good facial cleanser? I've tryed clinique and it didn't help also proactive. Looking for
Make a paste with oatmeal and lemon juice, 3X a week, after your shower, massage on to your face for a few minutes and rinse with luke warm water, it pulls out the oil and leaves your skin clear and smooth...for sudden outbreaks apply tooth paste (non-gel) to pimples before going to bed.

Contact a Mary Kay consultant in your area and ask for a complimentary skin care session, where she will let you try products that are suitable for your skin type (oily and acne prone) and will also be able to recommend supplements that will address your wrinkle concerns.

I would suggest Mary Kay's TimeWise for normal to oily combination skin - 3in1 cleanser, blemish control toner, moisturizer. Once you are established on that, I would suggest adding the TimeWise Day and Night Solution. Once your acne has cleared, you can drop the blemish control toner and add the microdermabrasion set - Refine and Replenish. You will then have a complete skin care system, where all the products used are designed to work together. You are now ready to add supplements that address the eye area - Firming Eye Cream, Targeted Action Line reducer and Targeted Action Eye revitalizer.
I am 56 with mild acne and combination skin with slight wrinkles around my eyes and skin that is somewhat loosening. The only thing I've found effective for my acne is Proactive. I'm not sure why it didn't help you; it treats all three phases of acne development, which is what the combination therapy that dermatologists recommend today. Did you use it correctly? You have to use all three products in combination for it to work. I like the facial cleanser with the little microbeads so much that I would use it even my acne cleared up! It's that gentle.

Clinique didn't work for me, either. I see Cetaphil recommended, and I've used that for many years, and agree it's a good facial wash to have on hand, but it doesn't do a thing for acne. I use it to remove my makeup.

I would give the Proactive another try, and it is compatible with other skin care products, so for the eyes and collagen issues (';loose skin';?) you might look at Avon's Anew products, which are said to be very good. Also the Olay Regenerist line has been reviewed very positively, as has the L'Oreal Skin Genesis line.

I get my info on good skin care products from Prevention Magazine's monthly skin care column.

These are all superficial treatments, though, and sleep, nutrition, hydration, and sun production are also musts for great skin!
I myself have acne/oily skin that I have previously fought with through the years. I am a skin care specialist and a makeup artist and have lots of knowledge in the field. First thing is none of those products are going to help you, they will make you look worse. Why? Because large companies use harmful chemicals in their products that degrade the skin and make you look worse with time. For example Proactive uses a laundry list of abrasive and irritating chemicals in their products and people wonder why it dosen't work for them. Same with clinique, they use harsh detergents which throw off the acid mantle of the skin and cause you to break out. Almost all store brands (including dept stores) use a chemical called propelyne glycol in their products. This is an agent that is used in anti freeze and very irritating to the skin. When they drop off drums of propelyne to the cosmetic manufacturers the MSDS SHEET (material data safety sheet) says DO NOT GET IN CONTACT WITH SKIN! Yet, it is put in the majority of our face products and we wonder why we break out. There are no regulations on cosmetic chemicals so basically whatever is cheap goes into these cheap products. They are crap. Organic and natural is the way to go, the less chemicals you use the better your face will look. I have since been using faerie organic face cleanser for about a year and I haven't changed it keeps my acne at bay (I also use this on my acne prone clientel) Check out their site, you should realy make sure you are using a natural makeup as well. Mineral makeup is the way to go as it has natural spf in it. You can check out the site here http://www.faerieorganic.com
Every dermatologist I've visited or talked with has recommended Cetaphyl which is a cleanser you can buy at Target, CVS, Walgreen. It comes in a oily skin formula now. It helps to clean the skin but doesn't strip it of natural oil which is necessary to keep the wrinkles away.

For your eyes, try Oil of Olay's EyePods. I keep mine in a little container by my nightstand so it's the last thing I do before I go to sleep.

For the skin, I highly recommend Avon's hydrofirming. I use the day cream that has SFP and the night cream has a little richer formula.

I get lots of compliments on my skin so I think I have it down pat.

PS - Don't forget to use a sunscreen.

    Drink lots of water.

Take fish oil vitamins - they are great for the skin.

Wear a hat when you are out in the sun for a long time.

I even take an umbrella when I go to sports games.
    Hi there,

Since your looking for a new product, you should check out a regimen that I love. Its created by dermatologists and offers a 100% money back guarantee if not completely satisfied.

You can get the full regimen or just the wash which has sulphur in it which is a key ingredient for purifying the skin and keeping it clear.

If you would like more info. feel free to contact me at freshfacegirl@hotmail.com
o so im not sure about the wrinkles.ok so for the acne this kind of wierd but like i promise it works.ok so first you exfoliate with an aveno exfoliat (buy at walmart)and then the plant aloe vera you cut up a piece and just rub it on acne.it sounds werd but try you have nothing to loosw.oh and only where it when you go to sleep dont ever take it out on the sun ever.hope it helps.
You can try All Clear. Controls oil and kills bacteria that causes acne. www.beautipage.com/melissacarter Start using a good eye cream around your eyes. Lack of moisture in the eye area is why we get wrinkles there first.
have you tried physoderm? it is GREAT!!! that have a few products for your face that compliment each other!! i used and had porcelain skin!! try it it is wonderful! lol hope it helps!

I am going to order some Clinique makeup for my niece. What eyeliner is good for blue eyes?

I have brown eyes and know what looks good on me, but not on blue eyes. I live overseas, so I need your help.I am going to order some Clinique makeup for my niece. What eyeliner is good for blue eyes?
Hepburn is a very pretty shade of brown that works well with blue eyes and green. (remember what carmendi off of what not to wear says :opposites attract!) haha never use black its too harsh a charcoal might work but that wud probably be better to use it when she's a little older like say (15+?) cause its just a little mature (that is..if ur neice is young)I am going to order some Clinique makeup for my niece. What eyeliner is good for blue eyes?
';really black'; or ';navy'; i have blue eyes and brown looks horrible, on me and my friends. no matter what everyone says! black is the best because of the contrast, the light blue compared to the black makes eyes really ';pop!';. and if you don't want her to get black, navy would be okay. don't get ';violet'; because it is very pink-ish and makes eyes look red!
Whatever you do, DON'T use brown eye makeup for blue eyes.

    Brown clashes with the blue.

You want to use dark colors.

The colors that would be best are black and dark green.

    Hope this helped!
Just go with black. You can't go wrong with black eyeliner.
brown shades are usually recommended for blue eyes
the dark chocolate or toffe would compliment the blue. i use a liquid topaz color for my blues
I love lavender for blue eyes!!

    no, probably not.

i'd say to go to sephora and test it

out for yourself, maybe you'll love it. for me it's

just alright but nothing i'll be buying again.
hard to say since we don't know your skin type and such. their foundations didn't work out for me personally, but then again i haven't checked them out in at least 5 years. you should go to a dept store where you can test them and see what you like and get recommendations from the staff.
I know a lot of girls who wear Clinique Dewy Smooth liquid and they look flawless (I wish I could use it but I have oily skin). Their bronzer is one of the best and the sheer pressed powder is great, I've used it forever.
i used to use the clinique foundation until i discovered MAC and how it is a little heavy/thick, but it does a good job with concealing yet looking natural.

Do you have problems with Clinique Cleansers?

I love the makeup but the cleansers don't seem to work very well for me. I've started using something else this week (and much cheaper too) and it's working great. I want to know your experience with it!

    Thanks!

The more detailed the better!Do you have problems with Clinique Cleansers?
I have had not so good experiences with Clinique. I purchased both compacts and skin care from there. I had that moisture surge and this one cleanser and It dried me out ugly style.

I think it is a waste of money, I really think a lot of the department store brand makeup is as good as what we get at the drugstore ( it has the same ingredients)Do you have problems with Clinique Cleansers?
Yes, I'm not a big fan of their cleansers- and their makeup removers. Their cleansers- well It doesn't seem like they move my makeup well enough, and my skin feels very dry after. Personally, I find they don't lather well enough to my likings.

I don't like their makeup removers because they feel very oily- which I don't like. It's almost like a dry oily and it just feels weird. Plus, they don't remove my tough eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara well enough.

I like the rest of Cliniques stuff though :)
Actually I'm polar opposite. Love clinique skin care, but their makeup breaks me out. All they have that I like in makeup is their high impact mascara. I used to have really, really, really bad acne. I started using the clinique 3-step 6 weeks ago, and my skin has really never been clearer. Ive used every drug store brand, and mac skin care. Now I have combo oily/normal skin (only part of my face thats only is on my nose, and it's very oily) but I use the only for dry skin (i find it works better on my skin) I used to use their exfoliate thing but I'm loving lush dead sea salt scrub it makes my face smell good ;D! I also use the moisture gel.

Now i'm a makeup artist, and honestly I can tell you: Everyone has different skin, something that works amazing on someone, or many people can totally be different on you. I was told the clinique foundation was the best, omg but I totally broke out from it! But what I can tell you is that stick to something that works for you.
I was using the 7 day exfoliating cleanser and it didn't help my skin very well. It made my skin feel wierd and actually started making me break out. I stopped using it, and started using a different product and my skin looked a lot better. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
It didn't work for me either. I like olay warming face wash. I love getting makeup from Clinique tho

i have been using clinique 3 step for years. i love it. i wont use anything else. my advice is go to a clinique counter for a full consultation to make sure you are a 2. then they can give you advice on what to use on your acne scars. plus they can give you samples and makeup advice. the consults are free and also ask about bonus time. sometimes when you spend $21.50 or more you get free kits. good luck, i know you will love your clinique.Does anyone here ever used Clinique 3 Step skincare?Does it work effectively?
I used it and it dried my face so i quit using it. Everyones' skin is different so you'll have to try different products and use the ones that work best for you skin type.

How good of quality is Clinique make-up?

I like their foundations and that's it. Over the years, I have gotten a lot of samples of their stuff when they run their bonus and I have found that their eye shadows and blush don't seem to really have a strong pigmentation so it doesn't really stand out. Their mascara isn't anything different than something you'd buy at the drugstore. I agree with the girl that said the eyeliner is drying, I once got a sample of that and it was a little awkward. It's a little overrated I guess, lol. But to me the foundation is great because I have real light skin and I can't find a match anywhere else. How good of quality is Clinique make-up?
Clinique is great! Paris Prescriptives has a great line too..How good of quality is Clinique make-up?
their skin care is the best .!

if anything, get the Dramatically Different Face Moisturizer.

but their eyeliner feels a little dry. it stays on all day, but it still feels dried out or something.

otherwise everything of theirs is amazing .!

    that and Micabella cosmetics.!
It's great. I'm really picky about my skin care, and it's the only type of make-up I will put on my face.
My wife uses it and so do I.
I just started using it, but I really like it so far. I use the foundation and powder regularly. I got a sample of lipstick with purchase that is really moisturizing but doesn't stay in place long. Their eye make-up remover is really nice too.

Clinique perfectly real foundation or Maybelline mousse foundation?

I have CLiniques perfectly real foundation right now and its almost running out so i want to try something new to see if it works better and i wants something a little bit cheaper. So which one do u think is better??Clinique perfectly real foundation or Maybelline mousse foundation?
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse dries to a soft, velvety finish and lasts a long time without retouching. It is significantly less expensive than Clinique as well. However, with summer coming along you should use something with sunscreen, so I would opt for something like Clinique's City Block or one of their SPF formulas.Clinique perfectly real foundation or Maybelline mousse foundation?
I just stopped using bare minerals for the same reason and I really like the Maybelline so far, four weeks and no breakouts.

Does Estee Lauder and Clinique carry vibrant eyeshadows like gold and olive green?

I know that Clinique specializes in neutrals... but do they have bright vibrant colours like olive green and gold available?

Im trying to make a super last minute prom makeup appointment. It's not working out well. I'm getting desperate.Does Estee Lauder and Clinique carry vibrant eyeshadows like gold and olive green?
MAC for sure, you will love their bold colors and the prices are not bad either!Does Estee Lauder and Clinique carry vibrant eyeshadows like gold and olive green?
Try MAC. Beautiful bright colors. most dillards dept stores have a MAC counter.
I recommend MAC too, but Clinique has a really pretty Gold called Strike it Rich. I use it alot and it is really pretty... I have really dark brown eyes and it looks great. It looks great on my friend who has hazel eyes, so its pretty versatile. MAC has Goldmine and Juxt... Juxt is a pretty olive-y green with gold flecks and Goldmine is a well, Gold color. :O)

Good Luck and have a great prom!

Has anyone else had a bad reaction to any Clinique products?

I know they have a reputation for good skin care products, but since using their foundation I have broken out in spots, blemishes and have terrible itchy skin on my face. Believe me, I've used all kinds of products before (even the cheapo stuff) and never had this reaction. It makes me wonder if the rumour is true... do you really have to spend a lot on face care to get the best results?Has anyone else had a bad reaction to any Clinique products?
Clinique 3 step broke me out BADLY. That stuff is harsh.Has anyone else had a bad reaction to any Clinique products?
Ohmygosh, yes. I bought the Acne Solutions awhile ago and had a bad reaction to it. It was in the winter, so I figured I'd wait until weather was normal, and then try it again. All I used was the face wash part of it, and it gave me itchy, puffy, red skin that still hasn't gone away completely! (I used it this past Saturday)

The only thing I really trust from Clinique is their Quickliner, which is by far the best eyeliner I have ever used.

Try Noxzema for your face- it really does work wonders!
i broke out the first like week of using it then i was fine

I started using Clinique's acne regiment, but it's drying my skin out to much, should I cut back?

I don't use the clarifying toner everyday, but my skin still feels dry and itchy. I wonder though If I cut back will my acne not get treated as well.I started using Clinique's acne regiment, but it's drying my skin out to much, should I cut back?
you should cut back cause once thats what happened to my cuz and she face just got worse and worse. trust me you dont want your face looking like my cuz did.

  • Do Century 21 department store offer Sample of Clinique Superfit Foundation?

I want to try it but don't want to purchase the full size without knowing if it will work for me. The closest Clinique counter is at Century 21 department store. I am going to Clinique counter soon to purchase the starter kit of the 3-step acne solution.Do Century 21 department store offer Sample of Clinique Superfit Foundation?
I believe Clinique gives samples, it doesn't matter which store you go to. But even if you buy the full size, and it doesn't work for you for any reason, you can return it.

What is a better brand of foundation, Clinique or MAC?

My skin is inbetween fair and tan and sometimes it is hard to find a good foundation. Right now I use Maybelline Dream Whip Moose but there my skin color is inbetween the shades available so my skin looks much more white than it is. So I've decided I'll splurge on foundation and I would like to choose between MAC and Clinique. Any suggestions? What is a better brand of foundation, Clinique or MAC?
Both are excellent, but I would take a chance on Clinique.

I've trusted Clinique products for 3 years now, and so far my skin has reflourished and has not had a single pimple since I started. Clinique face products contain natural minerals that enrich the skin and allow it to ';breathe';.

MAC products are good, but they use too many chemicals to make a lot of different colors, and those chemicals can be damaging to your face.

So, if you're looking for a subtle, but yet clean look, try Clinique, and you'll truly be amazed. What is a better brand of foundation, Clinique or MAC?
depends on your type of skin

but i'm personally more like Clinique...it's much more smooth and make my skin wasn't look s so pale (my face like never saw the sun...) and my face looks more health =)
go to normstrorm rack its of the hook.
you should know not every expensive m-up is better,if you take maybelline and loreal it is the same company,so try m-up which feel best for you face don't worry about the price inexpensive will do it.
I think you should use clinique i use it
studio fix by M.A.C i swear by it~
Clinique is much better if you have sensitive skin, or break out easily. I use it, and I love it because it doesn't make me break out and they have lots of shades to choose from. MAC makes my skin look gross after I've been using it for awhile, and I know a lot of people who say it irritates their skin.
    Clinique. good for sensitive skin.
    MAC is the best!
MAC. Even though Clinique is for sensitive skin, it seems to still make me break out. The Studio Fix Product has lots of colors and I don't break out with it at all. It is a pressed powder form, so it is easy to carry around. Love it!
what i heard's that Clinique's better for women who are more matured. that's what i heard from the cosmestic counter girl.
    Clinique forget M.A.C

Than you very much!Is there Clinique cosmetic shop in Salzburg?
There is no Clinique shop per se but Clinique is carried by several stores which he will find everywhere. Tell him to check Parfumerie Douglas, Marionnaud, or M眉ller. He will find it there for sure!Is there Clinique cosmetic shop in Salzburg?
I'd also try the duty free at the airport: on departure and again on return. somewhere they should have this brand.

It does seem that the brand is more prevalent in Germany and less in Austria.

Does Clinique 3 Step Acne Solution System Actually Work To Get Rid Of Zits?

hi i am a 16 year old boy,

i have used Murad acne solution to get rid of my acne, it didn't work,

and i am wondering if Clinique 3 Step Acne Solution System actually works, i have heard tooth paste is supposed to work but i think it sounds kinda weird, is there any other stuff or tips out there?

thanks.Does Clinique 3 Step Acne Solution System Actually Work To Get Rid Of Zits?
    toothpaste works!

only put it directly on the blemishes or it will cause over drying!

and also try to keep it simple..or don't be afraid to ask your sister or mom to use some of there products :)Does Clinique 3 Step Acne Solution System Actually Work To Get Rid Of Zits?

It all depends on your skin cause everyone is different but my 16 year old cousin uses Pro-Active and swears by it
Proactiv Does Wrok, But After You Stop Using It Its Known That Your Blemishes Get Worst. I Haven't Tried Clinique Yet, But The Reviews Do Sound Good. You Can Also Try Nuetrogena Anti- Stress Like Of Acne Products They Work Well.
yes clinique acne solution workz its not that quick but it works. the thing is that you have to adjust everything for it to work: your diet, your hygienic habits, etc. I would totally recommend it cuz I looooooooveeeeeeeee Clinique. I've used Clinique for the past 2 years and the Acne System from the beginning of this year. Make sure your are buying the right products and following the routine right. Try asking the girls on the store, they are very kind and helpful. Good luck and hope it work for you too!!!...do not use toothpaste i know it works for some people but to most it just burns them also theres this other thing you can do to make ur pimples go away

Gather all materials beforehand -- see ';Things You'll Need'; below. You might want to store them in a waterproof resealable bag, such as Ziploc. I'd recommend wearing either old clothes or a bathrobe over whatever you are wearing. There is a definite possibility this is going to spill. After you have found everything on you checklist, head to a large, flat, waterproof surface. This is probably your bathroom. Having this room be private is highly advised; you can't just say, ';Get out, I'm flattening a pimple,'; can you?

    Things You'll Need

    - 3 or more cotton balls

    - Lukewarm tap water

    - Cup to hold the water in

    - Salt

    The Method

    1. Salt the water thoroughly -- much more than you think it needs.

    2. Dip one cotton ball in the salt water.

    3. Wait for 30 - 60 seconds.

    4. Squeeze out excess water out until it is damp, but not dripping.

    5. Place the damp cotton ball over your large, oh-my-goodness-I-cannot-go-to-... zit. If you have several of these grouped together, try to place the cotton ball over them all.

    6. Glance at your watch/clock. Wait exactly three minutes.

    7. Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. The zit seems to be nearly gone, but it is only the top that has dissolved. Your acne is still there.

    8. Take the other two cotton balls and place them on either side of the despised pimple.

    9. Slowly, move them closer together until the tiny bump is flattened. Congrats! You've just conquered that giant of a pimple -- forever!

    10. Apply honey on the infected area %26amp; go to sleep!!

    Tips

*Don't forget the last 3 steps -- they are crucial.

*Be sure to follow these steps closely. Dipping a cottonball in fresh water as opposed to salt will not work, for instants.

    * You might want to bring a book -- either waterproof or one that you do not care about being splattered in water. Those three minutes can get boring.

    * This is your best bet for monster zits that simply sneak up on you. For long-term healthy skin, cleansing and toning is also important.

    Warnings

    * Please, PLEASE, do not assume this is permission to ';pop'; pimples. Doing so can cause major scarring. Please don't pop them.

    * If you stop after the top is dissolved, I must warn you: it WILL come back! Maybe not in the next five minutes, but during the course of an hour, it will come back!

If you feel new pimples erupting, ice it! Hold an ice cube over the area for about 5-10 minutes. It REALLY works!!!

If you have too many pimples/whiteheads/blackheads/acne, I recommend you to try Carley's Clear %26amp; Smooth!! It's CHEAPER %26amp; BETTER than Proactive!!

It stings when I use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion?

Is there anyway I can stop this? I don't really want to stop using it as it works really well for my skin. I just wanna know if theres a way to stop it from stinging. It stings when I use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion?
    that means its working

if its supposed to clarify then its probably just removing the oils and toxins like its supposed to

that happens wit my acne cleaning stuffIt stings when I use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion?
Stinging, to me, signifies burning the top layer of your skin and that means too harsh. If your skin is properly cleansed, there is no need for a clarifying toner or lotion. It is just a way for these cosmetic companies to make more money off the consumer. Clinique is not cheap, either. It is now proven by skin specialists that that astringent/toner is not necessary. Use a cleansing lotion or bar(Dove) not soap and proper rinsing cleans the skin completely. Toners DO NOT shrink pores. They dry them out making it FEEL like they are tightened. If you feel ';better'; using a toner afterwards, use plain old witch hazel which costs $2 in your local drugstore or supermarket. It is non-drying and has a little antiseptic quality to it to prevent break-outs, if your skin has that tendency.
the sting feeling is normal and is actually what you HAVE to feel to know it works, if you can't handle it maybe you should try one number under. there's a mild clarifying lotion created for sensible skins if your is.
If it doesn't sting at least a little, it isn't the right one for your skin. If it stings a lot, you should get the next one down - they make three levels of clarifying lotion depending on your skin type.

What is the differencee between Clinique Blended Face Powder and Gentle Light Powder?

the Gentle Light Powder means that its made for sensitive skin. the regular face power is just made for regular skin.

Make Up Counter Employees. How do you get a job working for a makeup counter like MAC or Clinique?

I won a trip to NYC. Had a photoshoot and will be in a magazine in January issue. Anyway, the makeup artist made me feel sooooo beautiful! I want to do that for women too. My question is, how do I get a job working at a Make Up counter like MAC or Clinique, Channel, etc. Do I need to be a certified makeup artist if it's in the Mall? Any suggestions would help me!

stardustMake Up Counter Employees. How do you get a job working for a makeup counter like MAC or Clinique?
I'm not a makeup artist, but my mom is and she's been working for a makeup company since I was a little girl.

To work at MAC you must be a makeup artist because of the dramatic and funky looks they do. You would have to get your cosmetology degree to work there.

To work at Clinique or Chanel, you don't have to be. My mom worked for Dior for awhile [now she works at Clarins], but she wasn't a makeup artist yet when she worked there. She works at the mall and some people who work for Chanel and Clinique are definitley NOT makeup aristis. Just go into a deprartment store like Macys and apply for a job. Usually there happy for you to be there. There a lot of fun to work for [I've been around it my whole like practically!] and I think you'd enjoy it alot.Make Up Counter Employees. How do you get a job working for a makeup counter like MAC or Clinique?
You don't have to be a certified makeup artist. Just be good at applying make up and know what colors go with what. Practice on yourself a lot at home and then go apply at the mall.
You apply, just like any other job. You don't need to be a certified artist they send you to their own school every so often. Its not a bad gig. But if you want to do makeup and not sell makeup, then you follow different channels. These companies also employ their own makeup artists specifically to travel and do makeovers.

What do you think of clinique on the spot acne treatment gell?

something like that.. its in a small greenish blue tube.

does it work? What do you think of clinique on the spot acne treatment gell?
It is awesome! I have used it for a while now, actually both me and my husband use it. It may be a little pricey, but it lasts so long. And yes it works.

Don't use a lot on one blemish, because it dries you out, as with all acne treatment products because of the medicine in it.

I would recommend though the sulfur mask from ProActiv, as an on the spot treatment. I used to use that back in the day, and that works better than the Gel. I think you can get it separate from the website or I know they have it separate on QVC's website.

Good luck! What do you think of clinique on the spot acne treatment gell?
pricey -your copay may be cheaper for the Rx from your dermatologist. check out prices before you invest.

What is the differencee between Clinique Blended Face Powder and Gentle Light Powder?

I am planning on getting one, but what is the difference? What is the differencee between Clinique Blended Face Powder and Gentle Light Powder?
they are pretty similar actually, but the second one has light reflective particles in in, supposed to make ur skin glow. the blended face powder is just matt. It depends what u r looking for. if u want a powder that highlights then choose the gentle one, but if u want one that sets your make up in place go for the blended.

also consider how ur going to where it, e.g. if u use powder over bare skin, then setting foundation isnt a concern but on the other hand, if say, u had oily skin and did use foundation then go with the mattifying one.

But in all, not a huge difference. make sure u pick the right shade too, i think the transparecy neutral one to be the best shade as it neither adds or subtracts from colour, but do ask the sales lady her advice too and obviously check out the tester pots when u go.

  • Has anyone tried the clinique system?

It seems really expensive,is it worth it?

    Anyone expierence great results?

any other skin care reccomendations?Has anyone tried the clinique system?
yes i have i love it soo much it is a great system i use it everyday and my sis works at a clinique booth at the mall and i love it and i think it is well worth itHas anyone tried the clinique system?
I love Clinique. It's actually very inexpensive when compared to other Department Store brands.
I don't use the whole system, but I love the astringent cleanser. The lotion's a bit greasy for me and I don't like bar soaps for my face, but the cleanser is the best! I love all of clinique's products. I like their liquid facial cleanser better than the bar though.

For lotion and liquid soap for the face, my favorite is Mary Kay Velocity line. The price is comparable to Clinique, but you have to get them from a Mary Kay retailer or online (I get them on E-bay.) The lotion isn't greasy at all and it has a great scent.

For good products this stuff isn't expensive. You can buy cheap stuff at the drug store (and some of it's not that cheap!) that doesn't work or spend a bit more to find something that does.

What is a cheap brand that has something like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion?

i really love it but i cannot afford it anymore

is there any drugstore brand moisturizer that works just as well and is a lot like it???What is a cheap brand that has something like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion?
I love the Clinique Moisturizer too but it is really expensive. i think you would like Cetaphil moisturizer. You can find it at pretty much any drugstore and it is relatively inexpensive. It is hypoallergenic and is great for sensitive skin. It can make your skin a bit oily if you already have oily skin but if you have normal, dry, or combination skin, it is fabulous!

A question for people who shop at Clinique?

Well i want to go to the mall tomorrow and get this new Redness Relief Solutions Powder but my mom isn't coming with me. Do you need a membership card or something like that, to buy stuff at clinique? Like at Kohl's they offer u a Kohl's Charge Card or w/e it is.

My aunt is coming to the mall with me and idk if she has a card( if you need one).

I would ask my mom but shes really busy.A question for people who shop at Clinique?
Absolutely not. I never been asked about membership card or stuff like that so far.

Just recently I went to Clinique counter in Parkson, Subang Parade with additional gift instead but it's good if someone accompany you for better decision while purchase tho...A question for people who shop at Clinique?
You don't need a special card to buy at Clinique counters. I have the Redness Relief powder and can I just say it was a waste of money because it really doesn't help calm the redness or disguise it.

Try it on before purchasing if you can.

What are some clinique must haves?

I am planning on buying some clinique makeup to replace some old makeup. I'm 17 and i was also wondering if anyone could suggest certain colors for me that would be good. I have light to medium skin, auburn hair, and brown eyes. Thanks! What are some clinique must haves?
You definitely will want to look into their skin care system, it's great! The best ';foundation'; to a make-up look is great skin. Especially if you don't want to wear a lot of make-up. I have pretty good skin, and I get the Almost Makeup foundation, it has good coverage, but isn't cakey or look like you have foundation on, but it smooths your face. Plus it has sunscreen in it. I'd also get a good blush to make your cheekbones stand out, and they have great mascara! What are some clinique must haves?
Go to the Clinique counter and get advice from them. Clinique is very good about training their reps and there are SO many options for your coloring. But at 17, you don't need much make-up! There are several light bases with sunscreen - personally I use CityBlock 25 - and the lip glosses are lovely. Have fun!

I've just moved to Holland, and need to find a shop that sells Clinique make up?

I can't seem to find any big department stores at all...I imagine there are some but what are they called and where are they? I live in the hague.I've just moved to Holland, and need to find a shop that sells Clinique make up?
You need to go to a store which specialises in make-up and perfume. Stores such as Kruidvat, Etos etc sell these but usually only the commonly available brands such as Rimmel, Max Factor etc

To get brands such as Lancome (my favourite when I want to treat myself!), Clinique etc, then head stores like 'Douglas' or 'Ici Paris XL'. Most towns have one or the other of these stores in the main centre or shopping malls. Here's their sites with the store locator so you can find your closest one.

One tip - both have a discount card or points card that if you buy one-off you can save a % on each purchase, or get points for a discount later, and it makes it worthwhile when paying for the more expensive brands, so be sure to ask about it when you are there

EDIT - yes the Bijenkorf (along with V%26amp;D being the major department stores and which are located in every city and not just Den Haag by the way), also sell it.... but it is far more expensive there to buy than in Douglas or Ici Paris - at least that is personal experience.

Something tried and true please. :)Is there a cheaper product similar to Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey?
Try Almay's Hydracolor lipsticks. They have a similar color to Black Honey and it also goes on smoothly and it's very moisturizing.

Edit: I think Berry, Garnet, or Sienna from Almay Hydracolor would be closest to Black Honey. Also Revlon's Super Lustrious Lipstick in Black Cherry or Baby Berry would also look similar.

The high strength chemicals induce capillary embolisms in your skin to reduce color from blood flow to the vital cells in the surface of your skin. That gives you a nice, bright appearance. When your cells have restructed the capillaries, and color from blood flow returns, you can repeat the process over and over again.

Wonder what the long-term effects from chronic capillary embolisms could be? I believe that's premature aging.

Don't bother with it. It doesn't work. If you want something to really even out your skin tone, try Murad's Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel. It's a bit pricey ($60) but I swear by it. I'll definitely buy it again and again. It works wonders.

What do you think about the clinique: cleanse tone and moisturiser?

has it helped you in any way? if so then how? and how long did it take? xWhat do you think about the clinique: cleanse tone and moisturiser?
Clinique products are really harsh on ur skin.. I had a friend that actually removed some tip ex off a a table with one of their toners! Maybe go for clarins or dermalogica? What do you think about the clinique: cleanse tone and moisturiser?
I would say there are much better products for the same price that do a much better job than Clinique.

I used it for about 6 months, it was ok but I didn't see a massive improvement. I stopped using it because someone told me it was bad for your pores, and now use Dermalogica. This brand is wonderful, seen a real improvement after only one month...just real healthy looking skin %26amp; I can even feel confident with no make up.
Clinque is a great brand - but I refuse to spend a lot of money on cleansers and toners! Use a supermarket brand which won't make you feel like skimping on the quantity you use and cleanse cleanse cleanse until your skin is clean. THEN use a good expensive moisturiser!

And you will see a difference very quickly - a good skincare routine is worth its weight in gold!
expensive but worth the money. i used cleanse products and took me about two to three weeks roughly for my spots to clear away. i dont like any moisturizers as they make my skin more oily than it is was already

if its way too expensive you can also use st. ives that worked for me great
I used it for about three months.. but it started to make my skin worse, I was getting a lot of skin irritations, redness, dryness that kind of thing.

Ive stopped using it now and Im using Avene from Boots, which is a lot cheaper and my skin is a lot happier.
I tried clinique products but I found them too harsh on my skin and the milder solution was just making my skin greasy. I didnt like the end results of the product.

  • I am getting my make-up done for prom at Estee Lauder. Would Clinique look better or not?

I don't want dark eyeshadow or dramatic blush. I want my make-up to be classic, but noticeable and to stay on throughout the dance. I am having second thoughts and am wondering if Clinique would be a better choice...I am getting my make-up done for prom at Estee Lauder. Would Clinique look better or not?
I think it has more to do with the makeup artist, then it does with the actual products. With that being said though, I do prefer Estee Lauder cosmetics over Cliniques because they seem to be more long-lasting, especially for something like a prom, which might be during hot weather, perspiration during dancing, hot lights, etc. Actually I prefer MAC cosmetics over all of them, for their long-lasting capability under the most ';stressful'; conditions. And yes, you can actually get non-dramatic looks using MAC products too. But if MAC is not your thing, I'd pick Estee Lauder next.I am getting my make-up done for prom at Estee Lauder. Would Clinique look better or not?
No, Clinique would not be a better choice. Estee Lauder is more expensive, but the majority of their products are wonderful (and I think they smell really good, too...) Just explain it to the make-up artist as you did in your question above. I'm not saying Clinique is a bad line, they have a lot of good products, but Estee Lauder's foundations are better, so are their lipsticks (in my opinion). Of course, it can be different for everybody, but I don't want you to identify Estee Lauder as a brand for older women, it can work for everyone. Be clear with what you want, and everything will be fine.
I was a makeup artists for several lines so as an artist I suggest that whichever cosmetic line you choose all you have to do is tell the artist what you want and if they don't get it right ask them to redo it, or ask them to start off really light as it's easier to go darker than lighter . Lauder does have the best long wear foundation. As long as you communicate what you want and they understand what you want, the brand wont matter.

    Good luck!
It really goes to who is doing your make-up. The individual make-up artist will have the impact on how it looks.

Also, have you used the Estee Lauder make up? It is one brand that I'm allergic to. I would have a test done before hand to see how you react and how you like the work of the individual artist.
It completely depends on the person applying it, not the brand. Make sure you book an appt with someone whose makeup you like the look of. If they are wearing heavy makeup, or their foundation doesn't match ... find another person! Have a great time :)
Estee Lauder is much better. Just explain to the beauty advisor what kind of look you are interested in.

Also, you should get a lipgloss or something while you are there. They work on commission and are there to sell not just do make up.
estee lauder will be better. clinique will go a little crazier. estee lauder is more classic. i had them do my makeup last year. i'm sure u will look beautiful!
i dont think what u get it done iwth will make a big differance, its who deos it( how good they are) and what you get done... wat look youre going for
i use estee lauder make up and it is great it stays on all day. I used clinique in the past and didnt find it that good
clinique is definately not long wearing if that's what you mean

it just like rubs off but i still use it
