Where can I buy Clinique Face Wash in Canada?

Does Shopper's Drug Mart or PharmaPlus have it? And how much does it cost for how many mL?Where can I buy Clinique Face Wash in Canada?
I know that you can get some at the Bay or Sears, they always have a little booth near an entrance (you know, the bright, fluorescent, perfumey section as you walk in the department store!). You can also find lots of Clinique products at a Sephora store, usually to be found in your local mall.

I'm not quite sure which face wash you are referring to, but 150 mL would retail for around 20+ dollars Canadian, MAYBE less, depending on where and what exactly you buy.

I know they don't sell them in Shoppers Drug Mart, and I while I live in Canada I have not heard of PharmaPlus (could it be because I'm stuck in the prairies?!) However, I know Clinique is mostly sold with more higher-end products; I've never seen them at a pharmacy-type location.

Hope this helps!Where can I buy Clinique Face Wash in Canada?
$16.95! Wow, that's pretty good. My mum buys their lip balm - this little tiny tube - and it already costs twenty dollars.

I'm glad to help! And yep, you got it. I'm in Calgary for sure, grr. Report Abuse

if you have a store called Belk's the have a counter the sells clinique... look in the mall and find any of the department stores that do make- overs for the customers they usually sell clinique there and im not sure how much it would cost bc i live in the US

Have you ever gotten matched for shades at a Clinique counter?

I would like to get matched or shades and skin care products that work for my skin at a Clinique counter. Have you ever done this before? if so, was it good? Did you just walk up and ask to be matched for shades?Have you ever gotten matched for shades at a Clinique counter?
omgsh! it is SO fun :) from my experience, it is best to make an appointment over the phone. umm... you just go in and ask them to put a full look on you and they will talk you thru it and everything. they will ask you questions and show you lots of diff products. go in there with little make-up on b/c they will actually apply a full coat of make-up on you. but you need to be prepared to buy most of the stuff they put on you if you ask for a full look. if ur just looking for one or two items then you dont need to make an appointment. Clinique products are pricey but worth it!! =)Have you ever gotten matched for shades at a Clinique counter?
no i have not
I have done this and my mom used it too. I love they're products they're nice. I used to use the soap when i had pimples and it kept my skin clearer. and they're makeup isnt heavy .love it =)

Yes all you have to do is ask them and they should be happy to help!
Thats all I did and it turns out to be really helpful! CLINIQUE has the BEST MAKEUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is a really good face moisturizer comparable to Clinique Dramatically Different, but cheaper?

I like Vichy's Thermal SPF 20 Fix....

It's moisturizing, has SPF in it and is a solid moisturizer to use.

But I must say, I really like the Clinique one too, just that it's too expensive.

Or you can try Oil of Olay's face lotion.. that regenerist one I think. I've heard good things about it.

Go to: makeupalley.com, sign up to be a member, and read reviews on the different moisturizers on there :) It's addictive...What is a really good face moisturizer comparable to Clinique Dramatically Different, but cheaper?

How can i refrain from picking my spots (Im startin school in 2 days) is Clinique 3 step good for skin?

Tried it.. It was alright but didn't do much for me skin.

A friend of mine recommended Dermalogica so I thought I'd give it a try and it works great and I would recommend it =] xxHow can i refrain from picking my spots (Im startin school in 2 days) is Clinique 3 step good for skin?
If you don;t want permanently scarred skin then stop now.

Try steaming your face with a facial steamer for a good 10 mins, or a bowl of boiling water with a towel over your head and gently sqeeze the spots with a tissue wrapped round your fingers. Thats how the beauticians do it.

I don't like Clinique 3 step i think its a con, buy a good cleanser and clean your skin twice, rinse your skin after with tepid water to remove all residue of the cleanser and then apply a good anti bacterial moisturiser or spot cream.

Be careful of make up applicators flannels and old make up that have had dirty fingers on/in and drink plenty of water, you should have clear skin in days. How can i refrain from picking my spots (Im startin school in 2 days) is Clinique 3 step good for skin?
Aww I feel your pain =/. Sadly, I've had the problem with picking for years and it's only recently that I've been able to better control it- and it has helped immensely. After a certain amount of time, picking becomes almost OCD-ish for people and unfortunately some people need to see a therapist for it! For me, I have to stop and read material about how no matter how much i think it's helping, it's NOT. Most times it even forces the matter clogging your pore and causing the blemish to appear even deeper into your skin, and therefore taking longer for it to go away!

So think about that, stay away from mirrors, and if you have some free time on your hands, maybe get a good acne treatment mask to use. Also consider buying some Zinc supplements from your local supermarket- they go a long way in helping skin.

Best of luck!
Put TCP on them and that will reduce them by burning them. or just have some discipline my lovie xxx

  • Does the Clinique Superbalanced foundation have good coverage?

Does it ';work'; with oily skin?Does the Clinique Superbalanced foundation have good coverage?
Well, I have this foundation and I have an oily T Zone (Chin/Forehead) and it does work quite well, I think. It covers up my blemishes very well, which makes me happy. I also have really red cheeks and it covers them up well too. It doesn't make your skin any oilier or anything, if that is what your worried about. :)

Has anyone used clinique face wash before and does it work miracles?

my sister has like the worst skin in the world and honestly could use a miracaleHas anyone used clinique face wash before and does it work miracles?
I worked for clinique and their product are low quality . you might as well buy something at CVS try persagelHas anyone used clinique face wash before and does it work miracles?
i've tried clinique before but it didn't work miracles for me.i've got pimples years wayback.then i tried VMV hypoallergenics, and it worked wonders.they have a variety of products and there's also one specifically for acne-prone skin.you may want to try visiting their website.

    http://www.vmvhypoallergenics.com/store/鈥?/a>
No, it doesn't work ';miracles';, but it helps. I have the dryest skin ever, but It doesn't make my skin smooth as silk. It does work better than others I have come across, though.
Use proactiv, you can buy online but you have to have either a debit or credit card. Seriously it's good, my friend uses it!
yes, ive used it, no it doent perform miracles, but what does!
well not miracles but it helped me alot.

    How good are Clinique foundations/powders?

Have you ever tried Clinique foundations? If so, what was that? How long do they last and does your skin breakout? How good are Clinique foundations/powders?
I find they make me break out. I use bare minerals now and its the best thing i have ever used, and i have tried everything. A 40 dollar supply lasts 4 months and i use every day.You should buy lipstick/liners,and mascara from the makeup counter, but everything else i would go with bare minerals. Go check it out at qvc.com they have gfreat starter packages you can order online. How good are Clinique foundations/powders?
I love them. The only makeup to never give me breakouts. Goes on smooth, blends fabulously. A teeny bit goes a long way!
Clinique is a great line. Its a great begining step in the wonderful world of makeup. All great makeup ';looks'; begin with clean skin and this line has great skin care products. Go to the makeup counter and have them suggest the right formula that would be good for you (i.e., oily, normal or dry skin). They can also give you some makeup tips...oohh and even samples....

    Have fun!!!
Break Out!! You want to make sure your products contain no mineral oil as mineral impedes the absorption of good ingredients in products and can cause you to break out. Arbonne's foundations/powders are amazing. You can check it out at www.arbonne.com you can only order through a your own wholesale account. If you are interested in setting up an account let me know jamistansberry@hotmail.com
I use the Clinique Skin Care line and foundation and pressed powder. It doesnt make my skin so oily...but then, I have the Bare Essentuals line too...that works for me too

    But it depends on you...

it doesn't hurt to atleast try, and if you dont like it, then try something else :o)
The products are fantastic! I use the 3 step and foundation is creamy and goes on perfectly. I use moisterizers night and day and their mascara and eyeshadow. They are priced moderately and I love their gifts promotions.
The foundation in a compact covers well, but it comes off on EVERYTHING! It's so annoying when it ends up on papers at work, collars of shirts, etc. My skin has never broken out though
use Artistrys Self Defining Sheer Foundation SPF 15... It suits all skin types and contains antioxidants and sunscreens which correct skin imperfections, evens out skin n prepares the skin for makeup...

I am an Amway distributor in Bangalore..If anybody is interested in buying Artistry products mail me. Free home delivery inside Bangalore.

    kiran_caring@yahoo.co.in
They made my skin break out like crazy.

I'm trying Neutrogena's powders right now. I have to go back to the dermatologist soon, so I might ask what foundation she suggests.
Clinique has been the only makeup I have ever used. They have products to suit any face type. (i.e oily, dry or normal). They last quite a long time and once you have them type your skin, they will guide you to makeup that will prevent you from breaking out.

How can I get REALLY cheap MAC or Clinique make up?

Okay, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mac cosmetic and Clinique and I NEED to try them but they are supper expensive. Is there a website that I can buy REALLY cheap make up like with NO shipping or anything like that. PLEASE help me!!! I need MAC make up and Clinique :(How can I get REALLY cheap MAC or Clinique make up?
I'd advise you ebay...but...i'd be very cautious, because half of the stuff is fake..ok make that 80%...mac for sure.. mostly fake....even then you don't get it THAT cheap....be ready to spend about 20 odd dollars for a pigment or a shadow etc...

How can I get REALLY cheap MAC or Clinique make up?
Any places you find cheap MAC or Clinique makeup won't be the real deal.

Try getting a job at a beauty store, they give really good discounts to employees. My sister works at Ulta and she gets 40% off on all cosmetics, on stuff that never goes on sale, like MAC.
MAC has holiday specials on right now, it might not be ';REALLY cheap'; but it is better. They have brush sets that are a great value and also sets of 5 lips, 5 shadows, and 5 pigments. Check it out! (I am no expert on Clinique products)
How can you LOVE LOVE LOVE them if you haven't tried them yet?

Go to your local deparment store that stocks these brands. They often have samples of the products for cheap or nothing. They may also have clearances of colors or products that are being discontinued.
    eBay.

Actually, if you order from China, alot of the time it will be fake, and it will be horrible and a waste of $$$$$$$$.

    :]
Any makeup you order online will come with shipping and handling charges unless it's from China or something (seriously.. I ordered 3 corsets from this lady in China and I didnt have to pay S%26amp;H... haha.. well some do, but anyways)..

    Ebay..
you aren't going to get REAL MAC or Clinique thats cheaper than what it costs at stores and their websites.

if its less, you will probably be getting tainted, and horrible makeup.

i would suggest that you get it off of ebay but some and maybe over half of the mac products on ebay that are mac are not real :D

Which do you like better MAC cosmetics or Clinique?

My one friend wears MAC, and my other friend wears Clinique, they both look good it seems. Which one do you prefer and why.Which do you like better MAC cosmetics or Clinique?
Mac I have lots of it been using for six years now.Which do you like better MAC cosmetics or Clinique?
I'm a MAC girl. MAC has more of the trendy colors. Clinique is more conservative.
    mac is awesome

so much more stylish and hot
I like cheap-o stuff that I can buy at Target.
MAC! MAC has way more pretty colors!
I use to be a MAC a holic , but a friend had me try Bee Luscious cosmetics over a year ago and I am telling you its the best stuff I have ever seen and tried, I have down comparisons with other brands and even all the MAC products that I had, and I am telling you I am a Bee Luscious a holic now... my skin looks and feels gorgeous , I never got compliments from anyone and ever since I started using bee luscious everyone I mean everyone says how great my skin looks and the most important GUYS notice.
Mac goes for dramatic, lots of makeup look, which is beautiful.

Clinique goes for completely natural, can't even see makeup look, which is also beautiful.

You use whatever you like best. But I personally like MAC better.

How often do I have to use clinique's 3-step skin care system?

    question

sayss it all. If you don't know then don't answer because I've. Already chosen this line and I want to stick with it.. Anyways thx!How often do I have to use clinique's 3-step skin care system?

  • Is it really worth it to spend the extra money on mac or clinique makeup?

I use neutrogena foundation, maybelline loose powder, Jane blush, avon eyeliner, jane eyeshadow, avon lipliner, and any lipstick that has a good color and doesn't feel slimy or dry on my lips. I don't have anything clogging my pores and it looks good and stays on for the most part of the day, which for me is 10 hours at work. But my sister says that it doesn't matter how good the cheap stuff is, the expensive stuff is always better. And I do have sensitive skin but it really seems like just the bristles from by brushes, which ARE high end, is what's doing most of the irritation. So, does it really matter? Is it really worth it to spend the extra money on mac or clinique makeup?
I seriously do not think so, if your make-up does what you need it to do and most importantly stays on for 10 hours which is great, then you should not have to use the pricey stuff. Girl, if you can save money and look great if is good stuff!!Is it really worth it to spend the extra money on mac or clinique makeup?
I recommend for eye-shadow, $10 shadow from Kohls, for lip-gloss, Rimmel London from drug-stores. You don't need super-fancy stuff--but I like sephora.com which tends to be a little pricier.
no it dosent matter some brands are just rite for smoe ppl and not for others
If it works for your skin, then I don't see any reason to switch to name brands....I use a combo of Maybelline, Estee Lauder, and Clinique, and Almay....

If you want to switch to the expensive stuff, try going to the counters at a mall and ask for samples, like foundation. If you like it, you can buy it, or go on Ebay...they sell it less than department stores
It really depends on what you want and like. Foundation is really the most key thing. And you never can tell if a more expensive one is the one for you. I have used expensive and not expensive, and I have complimented women on their pretty skin only to find out they are wearing Cover Girl. I am using Loreal foundation. I had a terrible reaction to Elizabeth Arden.

Having used both expensive and inexpensive, I truly do not notice a lot of difference. Now SKINCARE is a different deal. I DO use expensive skincare because for me cheap cleanser and moisturizer make my skin look like hell - dry, flaking and irritated.
okhonestly I use mac all the time. But it is considered to be the worst for your skin at least that is the foundation and compant because it gives you the best coverage but it clogs your pores really bad. I honestly dont care because I clean my face all the time and get frequent facials. But if you are looking for something that is not working for you let me know I can help. ok mac eye shadows are $15 a peice and they work antastic, but there is a brand of eye shadow called NYC they are only $3 a peice and it is the same thing as mac you can find them in little chinese stores.
for skin makeup, it is, and mascara.

but lip glosses, it doesn't make a huge difference.
It doesn't matter which one you use. If the cheap stuff is already working, what could the expensive stuff do that is so much better? She just wants to justify her spending ridiculous amounts of money on those other brands.
I don't think it matters. If you are washing and cleaning your face daily - that's what is really important. But - I'll say - I went YEARS using the brands sold in the drug store - and when I switched over to MAC - the difference was huge. Their foundation stays on forever - and goes on SOOOO smooth. The lipstick doesn't fade and stays on really well. The blush is awesome - and the choice of colors is HUGE. And actually - I don't care much for their mascara - but the rest of the products are above and beyond maybelline or revlon or any of those.

Still - if you're happy doing what you're doing - just do it. Everybody has different priorities for different things. I refuse to drive expensive fancy cars. My friends think I'm a wacko for driving a 1990 Honda Civic - but it's a great car - and I bought it from my mechanic - and I love it. Why would I waste money on a Lexus or a BMW or some status symbol crap that just isn't important to me? As long as you're happy with what you're doing - just do it!!
I'm like you when it comes to powders %26amp; foundations. I stay with the drug store stuff because it's cheap and I tend to fly through it so quick. But I also love Mac for their eye shadows and blush. I find they stay on longer and have such awesome colors. Their brushes tend to last longer and feel better on my face.

So, in a word, no I don't think it matters.
No you dont NEED to spend the extra money but rememebr you get what you pay for. You say you use nuetrogena foundation. Try a little bit of say Chanel or even Mac is cheaper thats what I use its very expensive but I find myself having to only touch up once a day if that as compared to 3 or 4 with cheap stuff. In my opinion Mac isnt expensive its just your taste I guess. Your skin type also matters. If you have bad skin more expensive stuff will have the elements to hide the imperfections that you do have. If what you have is working for you then dont switch ya know???
Honestly, it doesn't really matter all that much. I have worked in high-end cosmetics for years and still have some maybelline/revlon/store brand items in my makeup bag. I'd tell you that you're better off to spend your $$ on high-end skincare and stick to the cosmetics that you like. If you are trying to do more dramatic or photo-quality (for a wedding or portraits) makeup, you'll get better wear and pigment quality out of higher-end, prestige brands, but for work or everyday, if your skin is in good shape and you like the wear/feel of the items you're currently using, stick with them.
i was a model in HS and the makeup artist I worked with said it was a total waste, I had all the clinique stuff and it made my skin WORSE! I like bare escentuals, its not as expensive, and its all natural so my skin feels fresh and clean even with it on!

and tell your sister she's wrong! : )

The expensive stuff is a waste of money!

    take my word for it!
If you are happy, you are happy.

Make-up can only do so much, and for me I would much rather spend my money on a good book than a 20 dollar case of powder. Plus, as long as the tones match your skin color, people don't really notice.
yeh the high end stuff is better!
as a make-up artist, ill say:

i think its worth it to pay the extra money for high end brushes.

but when it comes to spending tons of money on lipsticks, eyeshadows, pencils... i dont think its worth it.

spend your most money on a good foundation for your skin type, because most cheap brands (loreal, mabelline, covergirl, etc.) dont have spf, moisturizers, etc. a few other products worth the price are primers because you can take your cheap make-ups eye and lip color to a whole nother level! you dont have to reapply liek crazy either. its ALL DAY wear.

    good luck.
Natural hair brushes will cause skin irritations if your skin is sensitive. Use synthetic brushes and to avoid irritations. As far as makeup goes you get what you pay for. I am allergic to a lot of different types of make ups. I found Bare Minerals/Escentuals and have not had any issues with my skin. Good Luck :)
If you have perfect skin then stick to what you are using. I like the more expensive brands though. They make better mascaras and foundations and lipsticks.
You do get what you pay for generally but the high street brands are really upping their quality to compete with the more expensive brands so you can still look great on a budget. As a make up artist myself I say make sure you use good cleansers/toners/moisturisers etc and invest in good quality brushes as this does make a huge difference x

Is clinique ok to use on sensitive skin?

I have dry skin and its very sensitive. I was thinking of getting the clinique cleansers in extra mild and getting their dramatically different moisturiser. Do you think it will be ok?Is clinique ok to use on sensitive skin?
Hi, Clinique is really good, their products are one of the best. Give it a try.Is clinique ok to use on sensitive skin?
They have some products that are formulated for sensitive skin, the yellow moisturizer do not get it, it is just oil and water and is the worst thing to put on your skin, and the toner dont use it it everyday especially if your sensitive it will dry your skin out. I love Estee Lauder skin care and they have a skincare line made for sensitive skin types.

    http://www.esteelauder.com/templates/pro鈥?/a>

If you are going to get Clinique, try the Super Defense
the best thing i find is neutrogina oil free face wash with aveeno moisturizer =)

and for makeup (not eyeliner/eyeshadow and such) but foundation, concealer and things that actually go over your pores, i use sheer cover

it's not as amazing as they say it is on the infomercial, but definitely it's the best makeup compared to anything else
I recommend Dermalogica. A much personal consultation and their ingrediants are very natural and do not contain many chemicals as the Clinique products do x
clinique is mostly for sensitive skin. just do a patch test on the back of your wrist to make sure your skin doesnt react wierd and then come back and get it if it doesnt.

    i love the moisturizer,
    Yes.

I use their cleanser in mild, you can wash your face ten times and you still don't dry out.
i have very sensitive skin and i find that dermalogica are best.
Yes, Clinique are perfect for sensitive skin! They offer a range for it I think?
nooooooooooo....i tried it n my skin went all pink n flared up!!! it was literally burning

Does Clinique Acne solution system work?

I've tried Proactiv and it worked for the first month. Then it started drying out my skin and I broke out again. So now I wan't to see if Clinique will work and keep working.

I also have some acne scars so will Clinique help lighten them?Does Clinique Acne solution system work?
clinique acne solution is very strong, i'd say get the small set then use clinique 3step...they keep my skin clear.Does Clinique Acne solution system work?
try it.... but none of that crap works for me, no one likes proactiv hardly, i got some cottage cheese type topical cream from the dr. and i barely have a pimple, it was the ONLY thing that works, ... go to a dermo
doesn't work for me but i have very sensitive skin.
Okay, try the Van-ashing cream called';Equate'; You can only get it at Wal-Mart and it's less than 3 Dollars. B4 a period, my skin attends to start breaking out so I wash my face and leave my face a bit damp and put a thin layer where the breakout is and sleep with it on. the next day, I see results. Just don't use it too much or it will dry out your skin. I haven't had any other irritations from it though...good luck!

Is Clinique good for skincare products, or what's better?

I'm thinking of buying the 3 step Clinique skincare things (cleanser toner moisturiser) and just wanted to know if it's good? I have combination skin with a fairly uneven skin tone so I want to fix this. Should I get Clinique or is there something better? Thanks. Is Clinique good for skincare products, or what's better?
I have combination skin and I cannot say enough good things about Clinique products - I've been using them since I was about 14 (I'm 25 now) and I really think they're the best thing out there.

The coolest thing is that, when you go to the Clinique counter, they will customize the products based on your skin type. They have different ';strengths'; of soap, toner, and moisturizer to balance different levels of oiliness and dryness in your skin. They'll ask you a few questions about your skin and put together a skincare set.

I prefer the liquid cleanser to the bar, because I think it rinses cleaner. I use the moisturizing gel in the summer when my skin is oilier and the lotion in the winter when it's drier.

Clinique also has great acne treatments, which I used when I had awful teenage skin.

You can actually take the little quiz about your skin type on their website, to see what kind of products they recommend:

    http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>

My only caveat about Clinique is that they can be expensive, but for me it's worth it. I get the best results for my skin with their products. Is Clinique good for skincare products, or what's better?
My personal opinion on clinique.. I don't like it. In school we did a ph test on different products. The clinique moisturizer (the yellow one) came up acidic. How can it moisturize if its acidic? I don't like it. If your looking for a professional brand try dermalogica, for a cheaper brand go with anything neutrogena, its very good.

    www.dermalogica.com

    www.neutrogena.com
Im not really sure whats better, but I definitely wouldn't suggest using clinique. I've used it before and it didn't really do anything, dont waste your money on it. It also irritated my skin sometimes.
I think that Clinque is good. I have been using it on and off for a long time, and just recently for about 4 years straight.

There are four different regimines, Very Dry to Dry (I), Dry Combination(II), Oily (III), and Oily Combination (IV). The 3-Step has the face soap, clarifying lotion (which is like a toner, but it is actually an exfoliant), and the Dramatically Different Lotion or Gel.

You would proabably be a III or a II. A lot of combination skin is fine with the Skin Type III 3-step in the summer, but will need to switch to Skin Type III 3-step in the winter, as the cold air and dry heat may dry the skin.

I think the best Clinique products are the 7-Day Scrub and the Total Turnaround Concentrate. The scrub is an exfoliator and polisher, which helps to remove dead surface skin cells, so that treatments and moisturizers will be effective. It also helps the skin to look polished and pores more refined. The Concentrate is a time released exfoliator, which smooths the skin, makes it brighter and more even toned. It is very very beneficial for a more even toned skin surface. I use this every night, and it is excellent.

They make an excellent SPF moisturizer called Super Defense (sunscreen is the best thing you can do for your skin) and a night moisturizer, Night Rescue, I believe, which has antioxidants (which is another good thing you can put on your skin, as they protect against free radicals).

As I have been swaying from Clinique, as far as incorporating other products into my regimine, I found that a retinol cream applied at night will aid with skin tone and clarity, as well as pores and fine lines. Retinol is a very good product to incorporate, and I heard philosophy makes a very good one called Help Me.

The hype right now is more natural products that do not contain harsh chemicals. I believe Clinique has alcohol in the clarifying lotion, as well as something in their soaps for the Oily and Oily Combination skin types.

I have been adding Jojoba oil to my cleanser and it has been doing wonders for my skin. Check out the oil cleansing method- yes, cleansing with oil, but don't freak out! Oil cleansers are all the rave right now, apparently.

But remember that whatever is good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander. What works for some may not work for you, what is preferred by some may not be preferred by you. The only thing you can do is try it, and see if your skin has a good reaction to it, and if it benefits from it.

Clinique is great about returning. So, let them give you the skin type test and try them out.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Did Clinique Acne Solutions work for you?

I've been wanting to try this product and was wondering if it really works?Did Clinique Acne Solutions work for you?
I really like clinique products becuase I have super sensitive skin... I feel maybe you are the same as me, and concerned about cost, and I think it's worth the investment.Did Clinique Acne Solutions work for you?
i tried clinique samples a few years back thinking i would have this beautiful skin... NOPE.. i have pretty normal balanced skin,, never had acne just wanted to make my skin have a glow or whatever.. that shiz made me break out.. effed my face up..

My sister and her ex boyfriend bought it also thinking it would work miracles on her face, she has had issues with acne, so had he.. it made their faces even worse.. he looked like his skin had some sort of minor burn.. it made his face raw.. like it was red and looked horrible. i would never recommend that stuff to anyone, I love my neutrogena products.. i swear by them they are the best thing.. i use the acne stress control with green tea and cucumber and it works great for blackheads and keeping my skin clear..

    GOOD Luck..
ive tried it and out of my experience it hasn't worked for me. maybe it will work for you but the cheap kind you can get at walmart work better for me cause my skin gets oily and that makes your skin dry. so if you have oily skin i suggest that you get the kind at walmart like olay. but overall clinique didn't work for me. i think its over priced!
I have been working as a skin therapist for 18 years and in my experiance that range is at the top of my worst list. Far too much alcahol. Please, please invest in a professional range not over the boots counter!

It worked really well for me. That is the only product that i have found that really worked. I even tried Proactiv and i was allergic to that.
Yes!!! It really does work. I have been using Clinique for years, and I have used the acne solutions- it works.
    NOPE! it dosnt work!

What is a foundation comparable to Clinique's Superbalanced foundation?

This is the description from the website: Provides moisture and absorbs oil when and where needed with adjustable coverage that is silky upon application. Oil-free formula provides natural skin finish. I really don't want to spend 20 dollers on foundation right now as funds are tight, so does anyone know a cheaper version that is comparable? • Does anyone have any experience with Clinique makeup products?

Since Bare Minerals wasn't giving me the results I wanted anymore I decided to try the Clinique Clarifying Makeup Line. I bought the Clear Skin formula foundation and powder. Does anyone else use this or know anything about it? This is the first day I wear it so I'm wondering if my skin will be broken out tomorrow like it was when I tried Covergirl. Thanks and Merry Christmas!Does anyone have any experience with Clinique makeup products?
Clinique's products are amazing. All their products are non-comodogenic and hypoallergenic. Meaning they won't clog pores and cause pimples since there isn't any oil and you won't get an allergic reaction. I've been using Clinique products since I was 13 and just switched to MAC because my foundation would wear off very easily throughout the day. But I still love their products. I used Clinique because pharmacy brands make me break out and would give me hives not to mention I never got the results I wanted. They give a flawless finish and they are good for sensitive skin. Good luck!Does anyone have any experience with Clinique makeup products?
Clinique has amazing makeup. They focus a lot on skincare which I think is important, where as a company like MAC, not so much. I use a lot of their stuff, including their foundation. It's really nice and doesn't dry out my skin or cause acne. Covergirl is cheap and can be good for things like lipgloss and mascara, but I don't like it as much for foundation and powder. Anyways yah, Clinique foundation and powder are both great =]
i think thats the foundation my mom uses.

she LOVES clinique %26amp; its much better

for her skin than those cheap drugstore brands because she breaks out alot too.
hi yes iv used it during my beauty therapy training this is good make up but dont hold long if you come out in spots try dermalogica facial range and fero beauty make up range its professional and brilliant xx

How can I shrink my pores and stop them from enlarging? Is Clinique good?

Clinique's pore minimizer worked on me, but not on long terms =/ Haven't tried anything else, really.

I guess the products are really expensive though! Just these tiny tiny bottles (testers almost) were priced pretty high..How can I shrink my pores and stop them from enlarging? Is Clinique good?
there is face wash made by Biore and its called.....pore minimizing face wash...i tried it and it actually worked. How can I shrink my pores and stop them from enlarging? Is Clinique good?
try witch hazel. its a good natural toner.

also try a deep cleansing face mask like neutrogena
i dont think it is possible to actually shrink you pores. they are what you are born with but you can reduce the size of them. i have heard clinique is good but i wouldnt waste your money. cover girl powder works just as well or better.
Clinique works great for me! Good Luck!
Use proactive thats all i got to say. and wash your face everynight with soap. you will see results in no time.
Biore Pore minimizing foaming face wash works very well for enlarged pores. If you have Oily skin as well, I highly recommend DDF (Doctors Dermatological Formula), it is a 3 step system and can be found at Sephora.

Does anyone know of a place where I could get the discontinued Clinique city sheer shimmer?

I know there is/was a company that would make a discontinued lip color if you had a sample (saw it a few years ago on tv), but i can't find what the company is or if they do this kind of product.Does anyone know of a place where I could get the discontinued Clinique city sheer shimmer?
I worked for Clinique for a few years and they have a spot on there website at clinique.com look at the area that lableled last chances they give you another website called gone but not forgotten.com I believe where you can look for products that have been discontinued. That product has been gone for a while so your chances are slim. Also the company is really great and friendly and if you want get there # off the website and call customer service yourself and see if they have any in stock. Good luckDoes anyone know of a place where I could get the discontinued Clinique city sheer shimmer?
just ebay now thats all i know

Clinique more than minerals make up and mineral make up in general?

who uses which one? have you used clinique? what do you think? i have read on the internet that you need to avoid talc and bismuth oxychloride, but it seems that they all seem to have either one or both. Does anyone with rosacea have any issues with mineral make up? There is a site which shows some random websites doing mineral make up excluding the two above mentioned items, are they worth trying?Clinique more than minerals make up and mineral make up in general?
I love colorescience makeup, it's mineral makeup sold in plastic surgery or dermatology offices, you may be able to find it online. It has great coverage and does not irritate skin at all!!Clinique more than minerals make up and mineral make up in general?
I too love Bare Minerals. It has worked wonders for the condition of my skin. I hardly ever break out anymore (besides the occasional errant pimple, no breakouts!) Combined with their Rare Minerals Skin Revival Treatment and Rare Minerals Blemish Therapy, my skin is better than it has been in years.
I use Mineral Powder by Mary Kay. It's a lot cheaper than Bare Minerals but works just as well. I love it!
I have used Bare Minerals for almost 2 years now. I LOVE it!!

I love how natural it is, but still gives me plenty of coverage. Liquid foundation always feels heavy, is hard to match color-wise, and can give you those bad lines.

It's perfect for me also because you can sleep in it and so many times I just am too tired or lazy to clean my face at night. It has also trained me to use moisturizer every day. Because you need to put lotion on your face before you apply your makeup I don't have a choice and now it is a great habit.

    The best part though is how great my skin looks!! It has been really good for my skin. It makes my skin really healthy. Recently I went and got a facial. The woman who did the facial commented on what beautiful skin I had. Later on she asked what kind of make-up I use and I told her. She then said, ';no wonder your skin is so beautiful, that stuff is great for you!';

I will never go back to liquid foundation again.

Loreal true match or clinique perfectly real foundation?

Which is better? I have fair, oily/combination skin, a few breakouts but nothing bad. Any opinions? I don't want to have to buy the more expensive one if the Loreal is just as good.Loreal true match or clinique perfectly real foundation?
i have oily skin and i use loreal true match foundation and it works great i also buy a cheap loose powder foundation and put a tiny bit of that over the liquid foundation so that as the goes on my face doesnt look greasy or oily.

btw i have never tried clinique perfectly real foundation ive always stuck with loreal

xxxxxxxLoreal true match or clinique perfectly real foundation?
If you have oily skin, I suggest Loreal. If you have problem with foundations fading on you, I suggest Revlon Colorstay ';Active.'; This is the only foundation that stays on my face the whole day and does not cause any problem for my skin-
if you want, you can go for the clinique stuff, i heard lots of good things about their foundations in particular, like it has good coverage and its not heavy. i've never tried it although i havent tried loreal's true match either, but i dont think you can lose either way.
Loreal is good. I have combination skin and I have used Loreal foundations before. Great coverage. It doesn't cause me any breakouts, just take make up off before going to bed. ;)

Should I get the Clinique or Stila tinted moisturizer?

I want a tinted moisturizer that will give me an even skintone, some coverage, SPF, and a dewy finish on my face. So which one should I get?Should I get the Clinique or Stila tinted moisturizer?
If you have extremely sensitive skin, I would recommend Clinique, all of their products are allergy tested and really great for sensitive skin. If not, I really like working with Stila tinted moisturizer. The illuminating tinted moisturizer is my favorite because the illuminating pigments leave your skin with a healthy glow. The SPF 15 is really nice and smooths and evens skin, and the SPF 30 offers just a -little- more coverage. So depending on what kind of look you're going for, Stila has some great options.Should I get the Clinique or Stila tinted moisturizer?
I have used the Stila tinted moisturizer and it works great! it smooths out my skintone and has a bit of a shimmer to it so your face has a ';natural'; glow. I love it, and i'd definitely recommend it :]

Does a job as a make-up consultant at Clinique or similar place require special training?

I'm really (desperately) looking for work and a lot of options have been closing fast. I'm a well-educated transgendered person, embarking on becoming a woman and I've been running into problems finding a job - unless I want to work as an escort, massage worker, etc. I love working w/make-up and I've been wondering if I could get a job w/one of the make-up outlets at the mall. Do I need a diploma from a beauty school? Any information about getting such a job will be greatly appreciated.Does a job as a make-up consultant at Clinique or similar place require special training?
Hello there, to the best of my knowledge, a keen interest in all things cosmetic/skin related and a background in retail is the best start

.I know several beauty therapists that have gone down this path after taking various courses in the beauty Field. I would definitely take a class in cosmetic make up and then check out other courses in your area. I used to go to college with a trans gender person and she was treated with utmost respect and was an excellent student. May I suggest Mac, Bobbi Brown , Benefit and Urban Decay (who are currently working on making all their products vegan) as other good places to seek employment.. Good to hear you are trying this as a career, I have enjoyed training in this field immensely and am very popular amongst my female friends ....especially before a big night out...lol

    Good luck friend.....

Have fun............Does a job as a make-up consultant at Clinique or similar place require special training?
you do not need any special training, e.g. cosmetology school %26amp; etc., however knowledge in the field is a must!! if you have a cosmetology license it definitely gives you a leg up but is not required at all.

you have to keep in mind that it is a retail job, if your selling abilities outshines your makeup skills they will most likely still hire you. call your local store/counter %26amp; ask, it never hurts to try.
As a licensed cosmetologist...when working at a make-up counter at the mall you don't need a license because you're not supposed to touch their faces yourself...you're supposed to show them how to apply it themselves. But I enjoy being a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant. You don't need a license for that either, but you're self-employed and work the schedule you want and get everything 50% off. You can even earn a company car, and you're never denied a job because of the way you look. You just have to make sure you are applying your products so that everyone can ask you where you get your make-up and who taught you how to wear it. Your face does your job for you!!! Sign on at www.marykay.com/latashawhitehead
How about selling Mary Kay? I have been doing it for two years and Love it. I worked in Corporate America for most of my life and now I have freedom and flexibility to set my own hours and have fun while making money. All your training is for free so even if you don't stay with it forever it is a great stepping stone.

    Good Luck.

  • How do I ask my parents I want Clinique?

I do have bad skin! How do I tell them I want Clinique? It's just embarressing! How do I ask my parents I want Clinique?
Just ask. They will sympathize with you and do what they can to help you out if you have bad skin. Might be a good idea to find some info on line and print it out to show them. How do I ask my parents I want Clinique?
    no it`s not that hard.

first, whine a few days because of your bad skin.

then, tell them that you would like to do something about it.

a few days later, tell the about the clinique
Just go to CVS and buy it yourself.

Plus, it's nothing to be embarrassed about. My little brother always asks my parents to get him his Clean %26amp; Clear when he runs out.
What I do is create small talk. Just pick a subject you're comfortable with and then slowly change the subject. What I like to say is this:

    ';Yeah, I've been doing some research and asking around, and I think that Clinique would be a good makeup for me. Is there a way I can try it?';
    how is that embarrassing? just be like ';hey mom, next time we're at the mall can i pick up some clinique make up because i think it will make my skin look better';

don't know what's so embarrassing about that...
Go to your mother, not your father. Women understand each other and are better able to sympathize with others' concerns. Men often do not understand the whole 'make-up concept', and they DEFINATELY don't get why a woman even BUYS make-up, much less spending more money on a product of higher quality.
Your parents may have had bad skin when they were young also. Just remind them of that when you ask. Maybe you should see a dermatologist.
The mother daughter relationship of teens is rough. My mom about had a full blown stroke when I wanted skin care and make-up supplies. My best suggestion is mention to her that you would like to do extra chores or something to earn some money. When she asks the inevitable, ';What do you need money for?'; question, you can tell her that you want skin care stuff. This way you are not asking her to fork out the cash for it but are showing her how adult you are handling things. It wins big brownie points with the parents.
Tell your parents that if they want you to feel confident and carefree in school/work then they will provide the financial assistance in getting you the perfect skin.
i wouldnt spend the money. Clinique never helped when my skin was stressed. It has all the same chemicals and fillers as any other makeup. I think your best best would be a mineral makeup. You can get one from the drugstore
You should ask them to go shopping with you and take them straight to the Clinique counter. The sales person will be able to demonstrate the products to them and thereby convince them to let you have a shot at it. If they refuse to go with you, explain to them that having bad skin is affecting your self-esteem. That would not be a lie, since having bad skin can make even the most confident person self-conscious.
Just tell them (tell your mom)--I'm sure it will be alright!!!
Sit down and talk to them about it, how you feel insecure because you have bad skin and want to do something about it. Get some courage.
Sweetie just tell you parents that you are unhappy with have acne. And make sure you tell them how important this is to you. Beleive you me, they will buy it for you.

    gOOD LUCK
its not embarrisng to ask for face wash and make up just tell you mom that you would like clinin or watever tell her its one of the best lines of make up and face wash out there
Well if that's you in the picture ... I totally agree ... you have HORRIBLE skin. I mean gosh, get a face transplant.

    EDIT:

omg, am I the only one who knows what SARCASM IS? Jesus pesus people, it was a JOKE referring to that picture, which seems to have perfectly good skin. God, grow up people.

How good are Clinique moisturizers for dry skin?

I use Clinique's 'Dramatically Different' moisturising lotion and find that it works wonders! http://www.boots.com/brandrooms/clinique鈥?/a>

I have really dry, sensitive skin (with oily T-zone) and often find that alot of moisturisers irritate my skin and leave it red and sore looking. I have never had that problem with Clinique, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily either!

I would suugest that you go in and speak to a Clinique consultant, they should be able to advise you of the best products to use for your skin type and are normally really helpful! :) If you don't want to splash out right away ask them for a sample size of the product, that's what I did and once I'd tried it for a couple of days I went back to buy the product. How good are Clinique moisturizers for dry skin?
For best results, I suggest you use one of their 3-step skin care routines. Probably:

    - liquid facial soap extra mild

    - clarifying lotion mild

    - dramatically different moisturizing lotion

    - If your skin flakes a lot, for an exfoliator, I suggest you use turnaround concentrate, which is put on before the moisturizer and doesn't need to be washed off. I use this, and it's brilliant!

The DDML is very good for very dry skin so I really suggest that.

Good luck! How good are Clinique moisturizers for dry skin?

Why not try dermalogica used with natural ingredients?

    Hope this helps xx
not very good they are more for beauty and stuff go for olay its not oily on your skin but it still mosturises.
I use one (it's green) because my face gets dry pretty fast! Since the time I started using it (around 3 months I think), my face is never dry. I really like it.
good but kind of oily. i love cetaphil facial moisturizer it has a 15spf too.

yes, it works really well if you use it daily. it's not harsh against sensitive skin. you'll get amazing results, hopefully. but, overall, it's a good product.

Can you get a sample size of the clinique mascaras at sephora?

i was just wondering... because i wanted to try it but not full size. Can you get a sample size of the clinique mascaras at sephora?
No, the only time in which you might be able to is if it is in a mascara sampler set that you buy, or if it's a freebie offered when your Beauty Bank hits 100 points. The easiest way to get it is to order during a GWP time at a department store (usually around a $25 buy-in) and you will get some mascara in a smaller size. The GWP is really nice to have anyways because you can get a lot of stuff for a very low buy-in...for many other brands, it's at least $30-$35.

How long do you need to leave Clinique self tanning mousse to develop before having a bath?

    five to seven minutes :)

Is the clinique clarifying lotion2 the same thing as a toner?

does it do about the same thing as a toner? is it good to use?Is the clinique clarifying lotion2 the same thing as a toner?
It applies like a toner, but it is actually an exfoliator. It is sweeping off the dead skin on the surface of your face, so that the last step, the Dramtically Different lotion or gel, works better.

Dead surface skin sits on top, and can make the skin appear dry and flaky. The pores are covered as well, so they aren't being cleaned out properly or moisturized. Dead dry skin also speeds fine lines and a poor makeup application.

It is an important part of skincare, and should be incorporated daily or a few times a week. Clinique's Clarifying Lotion is a gentle daily exfoliator, not like a scrub.

How do use the three step clinique??

A couple of days ago I bought the acne solutions of clinique, which is the soap bar,and the spot acne treatment.I already had the 1st step liquid soap,2nd moisturizing gel,3rd clarifying lotion. The cosmetologist of clinique told me that I had to use the three steps with the acne soap and spot treatment, but I don't know the order which I should use it,I forgot to ask her that, really stupid of me,but oh well.My guess is that I need to use the 1st step liquid soap, then the acne soap, then the 2nd step clarifying lotion ,then the acne spot treatment, and for last the 3rd step moisturizing gel.But Im not sure,I might burn my face or something LOL.Please I need help,I already went to the clinique site but it only tells me about the steps without the acne products.I would really appreciate it.How do use the three step clinique??
    think ';cleanse tone moisturise';

(but clinique has clarifying lotion, not toner)

you should NOT cleanse twice, this will be overly drying and your skin will compensate for this, making you very oily. use the acne soap instead of the liquid soap, or use one or the other depending on your skin (the liquid soap if your skin feels dry, the acne soap it your in the middle of a break out etc) i have that soap, and i find it good but a bit drying, so i use a more gente cleanser some of the time.

use the treatment last, not before you moisturise.

    so basically...

    1. either the soap OR the liquid soap

    2. clarifying lotion

    3. moisturiser

    4. treatment

What's your opinion on the Clinique Acne Solutions ?

I know everyone's skin is different but i would like to know if it worked on yours. What's your opinion on the Clinique Acne Solutions ?
use clinque and neutrogena it helps tons =). I use the neutrogena acne power scrub three times a day morning, afternoon, and night, in the morning i wait 10-20 mins after putting on my neutrogena power scrub so it soaks in my skin and then i put on clinque liquid face soap, then the liquid clarifying lotion so it helps my skin control it's oilinesss through out the day. Then if it's a hot day, or i get sweaty, or dirty I wash my face with neutrogena trasparent facial bar acne prone soap so my pores don't get clogged. The power scrub is about- 8$, the facial bar is is about 5$, and the clinque im not sure because i'm using free samples but the neutrogena lasts very long about a month or two... good luckWhat's your opinion on the Clinique Acne Solutions ?
i love it, 3 weeks and im clear. i hated proactive, it made it worst and i was like wtf, okay lets try this and it was the best thing ever

  • What is a good alternative for Clinique Acne Lotion, but not as expensive?

I love the Clinique Acne lotion but it's very expensive does anyone know of something comparable??What is a good alternative for Clinique Acne Lotion, but not as expensive?
Im 23 and was having very bad breakouts so I started using St.Ives and Biore products. I was told to switch between them every three months so that your acne does not grow accustomed to it. Its been six months and not a single pimple.

St.Ives products are very cheap at Wal.Mart, a tube costing about $3 dollars and Biore about $4 to $6 dollars.

Hope this helps. What is a good alternative for Clinique Acne Lotion, but not as expensive?
ProActive. I heard it does good.

What mascara is similar to clinique lash power with the small brush is not waterproof but water resistant?

i love the a tiny brush. It doesn't have to be water resistant but I'd really like just one with a small mascara brush like clinique lash power that I can get at walmart, kohls, or any drugstore. I cant get expensive things like clinique. What mascara is similar to clinique lash power with the small brush is not waterproof but water resistant?
I know what you mean expensive makeup can start putting a whole in the wallet. Try telescopic loreal. They come waterproof and not. I liked it because it washes of with water and soap at the end of the day.

From experiences of family members, all I can tell you is to be careful. They will try to sell you a whole bunch of products that you do not need.

Get in touch with the owner of a fantastic, informative website. The owner is a medical practitioner with a ';difference';. The difference is that she strikes me as a consumer advocate. She will tell you what works and what does not. Her website address is as follows:

    http://www.romancing-the-soap.com

I'm an RN and naturally skeptical, but I started to follow this website months ago. I was so impressed that I even subscribed to the newsletter. It's never let me down.

Expert advice, she will answer your questions truthfully and you never have to wait long for an answer.

I did buy a few soaps for a friend of mine who had terrible skin problems. Now my friend is stocking up on these soaps because they have worked so well for her. This is a person that even dermatologists (doctors who specialize in skin problems) could not help! I personally bought something for terrible lower back problems, a herbal preparation that you mix in your tub. It was heaven. Her products work wonders, but you must ask for them because she does not sell on-line. I hope one day soon that she will!

    I can't recommend www.romancing-the-soap.com enough.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone is free to give me a skin analysis..?

Do you like the fragrance Clinique Happy?

Looking for something new to wear. Looking for something light and maybe a little fruity smelling.Do you like the fragrance Clinique Happy?
Most Def... it smells soo good, and the smell actually stays on throughout the day. Everytime I would wear it, I would get compliments on it.Do you like the fragrance Clinique Happy?
Happy for men is wonderful, and I hear great things about Happy heart for women too.
My boyfriend wears it! It's fantastic! We bought it together!

But the feminine one is great too!
Yeah, I have a bottle of it... but it's not my favorite.

I LOVE Ralph by Ralph Lauren. It's so nice smelling, and a little fruity, but not overwhellming.

I have a large bottle of the Ralph, and three tester bottles; one Ralph, one Ralph HOT and one Ralph COOL. I like the HOT, it sort of reminds me of the tropics, coconutty. I wear 'hot' and 'cool' on certain occasions, and Ralph for daily use.

Tip: I got the testers as a free gift for buying the normal Ralph with Ralph 'shimmer lotion' in a light blue case.

However, that's only my opinon, and everyone has a different nose. You should go to your nearest drug store and smell the different types to help focus your search.
yes i love love love it and its the best thing to wear
Yep is smells fantastic also love Miracle and DKNY Be Delicious and try bath and body vanilla it's not fruity but I get lots of compliments when I wear it specially from members of the opposite sex
I've heard great things about Happy. However, Curve Soul is alot cheaper and smells so great and very fresh and I get alot of compliments on it! And also Ralph Lauren Romance is good.
Yes,Happy is a nice light fragrance,Also try Issy Mayaki(not sure about the spelling) This is nice as-well.
Try Anna Sui range, very light and quite sweet...
If you like fruity, you will like that. I don't like it myself, but it is because it is fruity.
Love it! It is definitely a light, unassuming perfume. Cool Water is also a nice light fragrance.
Yes, this is a wonderful orange light smelling fragrance.
Yes! I know I love it! If you like Clinique Happy, I think you'd also like Ralph by Ralph Lauren %26amp; DKNY's Be Delicious. They're all fruity-smelling with a little bit of vanilla/musky undertones. Sexy %26amp; fun. I prefer the red apple instead of green for DKNY though- I think it has hints of lychee! Hahah.
I like Happy alot but it does get expensive. I have found that the bath %26amp; body works line of Breath Awake Aromatherapy (in the green i believe) is a a nice substitute and recently found the White Tea and Ginger line is wonderful. Plus it is all on sale right now...
Yes I do. I also got the DKNY delicouse (the green apple one) and it smells great!
I have clinque's Happy Heart which is a little different than the regular Happy and I wear it all the time.
I think Clinique Happy is just what you're looking for! I love it. You can buy a small bottle of it to try...
Yes, I use to wear it all the time. Lately I've been wearing DKNY be delicious which is really good, Ralph by Ralph Lauran is good.

My sister in law just got Estee Lauder Exotic Pleasures which is very light, and good.
get a sephoragirls fragrance. they'er flirty, fruity, and sweet.

What's the advantage of that anti-bacterial make-up Clinique where the girls wear lab coats?

Has anyone tried it or do you use it now? What's the advantage of that anti-bacterial make-up Clinique where the girls wear lab coats?
I've used 3 step skin care a long time

    it works pretty well

makeup needs to be removed with a foaming cleanser

    antiaging supplements are extra

    different lipstick is excellent

have used it for years - get many compliments

the bonuses are nice - a great way to try products for free for a $22 purchase

Give Clinique a try - you may very much like itWhat's the advantage of that anti-bacterial make-up Clinique where the girls wear lab coats?
Clinique is one of the only makeup companies that offers a completely hypo-allergenic line. The anti-bacterial make-up prevents breakouts, and while it covers, it also provides a way to heal any blemishes, while still looking great! I would definitely reccomend Clinique, and I love their anti-bacterial line!

amazon. also at clinique online there are very good prices!!!! i know they might seem a bit expensive but they worth it!!!

Ebay will be the best choice. Or,, if a friend is done with her make up, you could always ask for it.... cheeky but might be worth it!

Should i buy the Clinique make up or the Bare minerals make up?

Im not sure which is best...im thinking clinique? H3LP! Its really hard but answer please and tell me why you feel the way you do.Should i buy the Clinique make up or the Bare minerals make up?
I am currently using BE and used to wear Clinique. I have sensitive skin and even Clinique would make my skin feel itchy and just not right. My skin doesn't feel all weirded out with the mineral make up. My only complaint is that sometimes I want more coverage. The salesperson recommended still wearing tinted moisturizer for more coverage. The coverage is better but the moisturizer upsets my skin.

If you get a chance, go to your local Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, or other retailer where you can sample the makeup and have it on all day. I'm learning that you need to try makeup as much as clothes.

Good luck!Should i buy the Clinique make up or the Bare minerals make up?
I've used both Clinique and Bare Minerals. Both are okay, (I did find Bare Minerals to be too messy). I found something BETTER! I use Philosophy's Mineral makeup and I LOVE IT!!!

It provides beautiful coverage like Clinique and the Luminous glow of Bare Minerals without the mess!!!
Over priced. Go with Mary Kay. They are just as good, if not, they are better. Definately Mary Kay.
My babydoll uses Bare Minerals, and I must admitt, it gives her a very nice glow.... I strongly suggest it.
I've used both Clinique %26amp; BE. I prefer BE. It's a bit messy but I love mineral makeup. I like Jane Iredale pressed minerals because it doesn't make the mess BE makes. But minerals are the way to go. 2D
Clinique make is good the bare minerals is too messey for me. I have th powder make up by clinique I don't use the pad it comes with I use a brush to apply it. My bare minerals has been in my draw since I bought it I use it a couple of times but it's not that great. It is too much work and messey
Clinque is all I use now. and their new waterproof mascara is EXCELLENT!!
I love kms mineral essentials. I get great coverage and my skin looks amazing.

    Marie
personally i use bare minerals from sephora and it works wonders!! the foundation covers everything and the eye shadows are so pretty and it doesn't make yer face look fake!!

What type of blush or bronzer works well with Clinique continuous coverage makeup?

    Any brand would work fine!

What brand of foundation is better and why? Clinique or Lancome?

I'm interested in getting a new foundation. I want it to feel like I have nothing on and lasts all day. Something similar to a moisturizer. What brand of foundation is better and why? Clinique or Lancome?
Lancome. It may be the expensive brand, but I find it lasts longer, covers better, feels good, and is just better than everything clinique. What brand of foundation is better and why? Clinique or Lancome?
lancome, i just got this new foundation and it is like a mousse and it looks so natural
    clinique, definately (=
Lancome. It might be the expensive brand, but it works quite well. I have no need for foundation, but my grandmum does, and she uses it. Also, if you would like to, you could put a bit of Lancome on your face, and put a tad of moisturizer atop of it.
    definitly clinique

  • I need to get my makeup done for a wedding, should i go to the Clinique counter or the Estee Lauder counter?

Go to each counter and ask the ladies that work there what make up they are wearing. If you like one better than the other, I would most likely choose that one. When you get made up at the counter, they tend to use what they think will look good. If you have preferences, be sure and tell them ahead of time. I'm sure you will look lovely.I need to get my makeup done for a wedding, should i go to the Clinique counter or the Estee Lauder counter?
Estee Lauder! Don't get me wrong, I like Clinique a lot, but their foundations and concealers are too orange for me.

Estee Lauder is such good makeup. It lasts a long time, and it looks so beautiful. You can get a natural look or a dramatic look. They can do it all! Such great quality products. Hands down go to Estee Lauder.

(Either way, Estee Lauder %26amp; Clinique don't test on animals, so whichever one you choose, you can feel good about it!)

Edit: Usually you don't. But I would go in a week or two before the wedding and ask if they accept walk ins.I need to get my makeup done for a wedding, should i go to the Clinique counter or the Estee Lauder counter?
Estee Lauder! Clinque is better for skin care. I love Clinque and all but Estee Lauder's makeup is WAY better.

I've heard it's good for oily skin. Does it help control oil and greasiness throught the day? Say anything you want about it.Anyone use clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel?
Me I love it it has no fragrance it good for your skin it leaves a matte finish on your skin a velvety feeling also it control oil for a long period of time I also like because it last me a long time like 4 to 5 months a think is cheaper than drugstore . also is non greasy and it leaves a cooling feeling on my skin you should try it your not going to regret it.Anyone use clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel?
I have previously used Clinique Turnaround Cream for guys.Doesnt work for me.It just adds on the greasiness.I reckon this would be an improved version, where its gel based.Having said this,it will be good,if you can just wash your face a little after a period of time.( if you have an oily based skin)and facial blotters will be a good thing to have around.Works for me all the time.

Has the Clinique facial soap made your face oily?

I usually use Clean and Clear blackhead cleanser at night and every morning I use the Clinique soap to wash my face. After a couple of hours my skin gets really oily and I hate it when it's oily. Does anyone else use it and has it left your face oily, too?Has the Clinique facial soap made your face oily?
I used to use the Clinique soap and it always made my face oily and i would get more breakouts :( Now i wash my face with a simple ivory soap bar and then use the clean and clear cream on my face. It works great!! i would reccomend you try this.Has the Clinique facial soap made your face oily?
Not at all! It works wonders for me instead, it leaves my skin not dry, but eliminates oil for sure. Maybe try not to mix brands, I used to do that and since I moved completely to Clinique my skin is much better.
I wash my face with St Ives because of that problem. Clinques products all do that too my skin. More oil = more breakouts too so i would stop using it and try St Ives. I dont use soap bar because they all make my skin too dry, even in the shower I have to use Aveeno body stuff.

I'm pinched for money at the moment and about to run out of my Clinique three step products, so I can't afford to spend 60 dollars on it right now. Any Suggestions? What's the best alternative to Clinique's three step?
I'm assuming you mean for acne.

I use Neutrogena Daily Scrub [the orange one for acne] %26amp; the Neutrogena Stress Control 3-in-1 Creme [I don't know the EXACT name, but hopefully you can figure it out. Its the greenish one]. This is probably $10-12 total.

You can also use an astrigent or toner. For astrigent, I've used Sea Breeze and it worked really well. I don't remember how much it costed, but it wasn't too expensive (I'm really cheap, but if it works well why pay more?).

This works the best for me%26amp; hopefully this helps you!

What affordable cosmetics are comparable to Clinique?

I once saw that most of the expensive cosmetics have drug store counterparts. Is that true? And if so---what is comparable to the Clinique stuff?

I use their 3 step skin care stuff. What is comparable to that?

Thanks! What affordable cosmetics are comparable to Clinique?
In reference to a previous answer, Mary Kay actually isn't sold in drug stores, that I know of and is in the same price range.....And the only comparison that would make sense from department store to drugstore would be Lancome to L'Oreal because L'Oreal owns and distributes Lancome...

Clinique's 3-Step system is very unique and as far as I know there is nothing out there like it. It was actually developed by a Dermatologist, Dr. Orentriech, and it was originally sold only in his doctor's office before he agreed Clinique could sell it! Many brands call their skin care ';3-step';, but really, there is nothing like Clinique. The things is, yes, it's on average about $7.50 more per product, whether it be 3-Step, or make-up, but part of the reason why it's more expensive, is because their products are so much more concentrated, so they're going to last longer if you use them correctly. I buy the bar soap, large clarifying lotion and large dramatically different gel every 8 months, back before I used the 3-step I was buying stuff every 2 months at a drugstore! And that added up, plus my results weren't as wonderful as they are now using 3-step. I have used 3-Step since I was 13 years old (I'm 23 now) and before I worked for Clinique, I would wander away and buy other products, but I always came back to Clinique! It's so unique because the soap actually loosens all of the dead skin that is on the surface of your face, and following with the clarifying lotion, that sweeps away the dead skin you just loosened up with the soap. Then moisturizing helps equal out the oil/water balance in your skin so your makeup will go on much smoother. It's an exfoliating skincare system, and you have dead skin starting when you are born! So it's very important to exfoliate, that will generate newer skin cells more consistently. And also, if you're looking for comparable make-up as well, you won't find it. Someone may suggest Almay because they advertise that they are hypo-allergenic. But actually, Clinique is the only brand that is Allergy tested, all of their products. Allergy testing goes through plenty more testing than hypo-allergenic testing. Allergy testing tests all of the individual ingredients like hypo-allergenic products are tested, but they are also tested as combined ingredients, because when all of the individual ingredients are combined, they make one big new ingredient. That final products is then tested on 600 people, who apply the product 12 times each, equalling 7,200 applications and if there is ONE reaction, the product is re-formulated or tossed out never to be used again! Pretty cool actually. So, I'm sorry, but I do not have an answer for you! Good luck though! What affordable cosmetics are comparable to Clinique?
Mary Kay Miracle Set is comparable to Clinique but I like Mary Kay better. Clinique makes my face face break out and only last a few weeks. Mary Kay is great for all skin types and tones and I only have to buy new products about twice a year.
as far as ';drug store brands'; i am not sure but there is one company out there that a lot of people have not heard of yet called Artistry, they are actually # in beauty on-line as well as rated in the top 5 prestige brands of skin care and cosmetics, rated with clinque, lancome, and estee lauder, they are the only company to have used state -of-the-art equipment to make breakthroughs in product development leaving Artistry as the only company able to give improvement guarantees as well as a 100% money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied!

and not only are their prices better, but they are less expensive as well.

What do you think is the best cover up or foundation for the face that is better that Clinique?

I've tried bobbi brown, laura mercie, loreal, revlon, cover girl, %26amp; nars and I think Cinique was the best so far. What do you think is the best cover up or foundation for the face that is better that Clinique?
Mary KayWhat do you think is the best cover up or foundation for the face that is better that Clinique?
    ORIGINS!

try the origins foundation, its really great, very liquid and non greasy...
    MAC, olay, and avon
Avon baby!! it's all i use. a good one will cover a hickey well and with this stuff matched perfectly to my skin tone it looks like i dont even have anything on!
    Definatley Revlon
MAC%26lt; because it is studio fix makeup like for photoshoots and movie stars and stuff. IT is awesome. Try the MAC studio Fix foundation. it is a thick creamy paste and it is full-coverage.
I tried Clinique and it just didn't do it for me. I love Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation and what's nice is it is for all skin types.
Prescriptives, they custom blend the color to match your skin.
    Chanel.
    Lancome, YSL, Biotherm
    Physicians Formula
Cover Girl CG Smoothers Tinted Moisture....the best cover-up I have come upon.Great for summer and stays put even when I go to the gym :o)
i think mary kay is the best~ I am an Independent Beauty Consultant for them and they match your skin tone right to your face. allowing for a personalized look. They are also the number 1 selling makep industry in America.
    Dior
I believe that Clinique is the best for sure...but if you want another great brand try Estee Lauder or Lancome..Those are two great brands as well.
Honestly, I like Prescriptives too, they will take the time to match you perfectly. Plus, they'll get you the right formula; oily skin, normal, etc. If you like to spend money than I'd say MAC cuz they have a million different shades, textures and formulas - they rock with foundation. You can go to their website on www.Gloss.com and check it out. Truthfully though, I've had alot of luck with Loreal Perfect Match powder foundation %26amp; it's affordable. Hope it helps.

Where can you get the clinique acne treatment?

%26amp;+ do you think it's a good source to treat acne? does it fade dark spots too? i tried Proactive before. it doesn't work as well. Where can you get the clinique acne treatment?
well I work at Macy's and most Macy's have clinique booths in the make-up department. I would suggest going to the counter for a free skin consultation so that the specialist can recommend you the correct products for your skin and show you how to put them on to get results!

    good luck!

~ciao!Where can you get the clinique acne treatment?
    1) Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes and wash.

    2) Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary.

    3) Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball and wash it after haif an hour for 15 to 20 days.

Clinique has stands in Sears and The Bay. It's alright for treating acne, really depends on how bad you acne is mine was pretty bad so it didn't clear me but it did help a bit.
Try Vichy Normaderm. It works well. Or have a dermatologist give you some cream...it's not expensive and it's much safer than taking pills.

  • If I go to a Clinique counter somewhere, would they match foundation to my skin tone for me?

Yup! They all go over your face before they apply make-up.... or at least they're supposed to but it can't hurt to show up with a clean face!If I go to a Clinique counter somewhere, would they match foundation to my skin tone for me?
Yes, any makeupcounter will do this for you. They'll place samples of a few different colors along your neckline and wait to see which one blends into your skin the best. You may also want to step outside, in natural light, and see which one looks best as well before you make a purchase. If I go to a Clinique counter somewhere, would they match foundation to my skin tone for me?
Yes, i did it when i got my first clinique foundation and then they give you a little tub of it as a tester, then if you like it you can buy it and if you dont you do not have to buy it. also the coulor mached my skin perfectly.

    Hope i helped
Hi! My name is Sarah. I just wanted to let you know I read your comment on Yahoo Answers. I'm a stay at home mom or a beautiful baby girl. I also have two

older boys who are in grades 1 and 3. I HAD to find something where I could stay at home with my daughter. My

husband and I decided that we could NOT put her in daycare for various reasons. I looked all over on line to find

something legit that I could do from home, I tried the survey thing, I wrote to Yahoo Answers. People gave me these

companies that actually charge me tons of money, plus I have to buy this and that to even get paid. It's horrible! I

was at my witts end- sadly I thought I'd have no choice but to put her in daycare and get a job. We sure as heck can't

make it on only 1 salary. Avon and Mary Kay kind of.. fell into my lap. I now sell both and I LOVE both of the

buisnesses. I have a lot more customers with Avon, because of course it's cheaper, but MK products are so wonderful.

I love doing skin care classes/parties. I love doing make-up and making people feel pretty. I have so many girls that

call me and want me to do make-up for them for one ocassion or another. The best part is I can stay home with my

baby girl and my self esteem (and my looks) are better now than they have been my whole life. If you want to

email me I would love to give you more information, the perks the benefits, the drawbacks, or if you want to know

about any specific product I'd be glad to help you. Anything you need I'll be right there to assist you. My recruiter

was wonderful and I want to return the favor to other women.
Yes any counter will do that. Cleanse your face before you go if you like. Ask for a sample if you are unsure. Try before you buy!
Yes they will. Ask for samples too!
yea they're payed to sell makeup so yea they'll match foundation to your skintone
Yes they will match it for you! and yes, they will wipe off any existing makeup you already have on.
Yes, they will but it has to be there makeup!
